without a condom
 

My girlfriend of a year and 1/12 takes contraception through an injection and I think it lasts about 12 weeks and I'm just wondering if it's ok to have sex without a condom. We have already a few times but I sometimes feel anxious of if she got pregnant. (we're not ready for that) Does anyone have statistics? Anyone with past experiences of it failing etc?

No not of it failing..... but of having allergic reactions too it tho... My Wife has allergic reactions to the shot... and that is why she doesn't take them....

now having sex with oout a condom (IMOHO) is between the both of you.... Now with all kinds of Birth control there is a risk of getting pregnant except Abstanance ( YOu already know this).Condoms help prevent that and STD's.

Now if you are both faithful to each other and you are both clean then you don't have to worry about the STD's... But as far as getting pregnant and she is on the shot... I don't think that you have much to worry about...

but then my Philosophy is " If you are going to play then be prepared to pay." so in other words if you are going to have sex then be prepared to have a child cme from it no matter how much protection you think you have.... it does happen tho it is RARE..

no, there's no need. I'm not worried about catching an S.T.D through intercourse with her, I trust her. Just thinking of raising a child.. I can barely look after myself

meta.... just to say this to you .... I'm glad that you are thinking that way... I'm not saying that you don't have to have sex cause you are going to weather I say to or not, but what I am saying is what you have said...

But you know what, My child is one of the best things in my life and I wasnt sure about it either untill he got here and I held him in my arms..

Children can be a scary thing but they teach you somany more things then you could ever emagine, and bring more smiles to your face then any other thing that you can think of..

OH BTW i did forget one thing......... You will never be ready for children.. no matter how prepared you are or how mentally secure you are..... you are never prepared.... you will learn to grow with the child actually...... But im just giving my Humble Oppinion on the subject.. and yes I did get off a lil but I wanted you to know a lil bit of what it is like to have a child too...

Im on the contraceptive injection and have been for about 6 months.

Im pretty sure I ain't pregnant!

I have been on depo for years... I was on it for 2 years the first time and then quit to try and have a child and now I have been back on it for approximately 2 years.. Depo is very effective and I would not worry about becoming pregnant unless she misses her shot.

A friend of mine was wearing a condom with his girl, and his girl was on the pill AND had an IUD.... but she still got pregnant.


The baby was born with battle armour......

The injection is so effective, some times, for some people, when they come off it, it takes up to 2 years to have a baby.

But the avaerager person (define average???lol) it takes about 2 months.

I tried the injection but also used condoms. I didn't go back on Depo because I couldn't take the side effects.

Oh the freedom of vasectomy!!!!!
