Hello, everyone at Pixies. This is my first real thread here. I have been visiting for some time now and secretly getting to know everyone. I finally feel it's time to ask my question and I hope it's not out of place here.

Here it goes: I am 26 yrs old and I have never been with a guy, yes, a virgin. I know this probably seems shocking to alot of people but I just wondering how common this is or if I am just totally weird. Is there anyone here that's still a virgin? I would love to hear from you if so. Any other respones are welcome too.

I think that virginity in technical form ( Which is when you never had a penis or a vagina) is nothing speciall. There is another form of virginity called mental virginity. I had sex....but I didn't have sex for more than 3 years now....generally just myself on that one. So it's not when you have sex, it's when you REALIZE you CAN have sex and do. I know girls( well not know cause I don't have any friends) but they would scream i am a virgin when they were 16 and be all like I am so ashamed I am a virgin and then loose it the next day and just screw with everybody from that point so it's all about a person. And the longer you wait the sweeter the gift.... AND it's the truth I can easily prove. I had so little sex in my life that I wish I didn't have any and than only masturbated. One girl I was with was so mean I thought oh god i wish I was masturbating instead but obviously she was much wanted by other guys. So if i never had sex and only masturbated I would say I am 22 and i only masturbate.....and than add I am a perfect human being without shame. but that's just me. I am sorry for taking so much space BUt I truly love girls who are virgins and have no intentions of loosing their virginity.

Hi, I am 20 years old and I have only slept with one man. In fact, I am still with that man and I plan on being with that man for the rest of my life. When I was in high school, being a "virgin" was so not the cool thing to do. BUt when I found the right person, who didnt want sex from me, thats when I knew he was the one. This needs its own post.. Unlike froggy though I would say I respect just as much the woman either way. It doesn't make a difference whether they are our are not virgins. I am more interested in the person versus whether from experience thay can do the most difficult kama sutra.

Advantages: You have they honor of being ther first, so it means something special.
Disadvantages: Might scare off people who aren't sure of the relationship. Sex will probably be more exploratory than fun for a bit until they and you become more adjusted to sex.

With Experience

Advantages: Experience which means they can probably enjoy and give more pleasure.
Disadvantages: Possibility of STD. Your inexperience will probably leave them unsatified. Unsure individuals will question how long the relationship will last if the other has had so much past.

For me it's definatley not choice. I guess just due to a comedy of circumstance...........If anyone can understand that.

I was a virgin until I was 23...that was pretty unheard of then, but respected just the same.

My best friend just "gave away her flower" at the ripe age of 33. She was the last in our circle of friends (formerly known as the "V" club) to "light her candle". Most of us lost our virginity (having intercourse) between the ages of 25-35 (I dropped the average there a bit).

I love cliches...especially ones directed at the act of "popping ones cherry"!

I don't know if this helps but, I just want to say that its really encouraging to hear of young people who have the conviction to cherish their beliefs and values, and, I'm not strictly talking religious beliefs. I made a choice to save my 'gift' for my future wife, when I was about 15, honestly, at the time, I was pretty safe, the main reason being I was such a geek LOL! Aaaaaaanyway, as I got older, and got a gym membership, it became harder to keep my 'eyes on the prize' so to speak, and I got myself into a few situations which I regret. Now, at 22, I'm proud to say I'm still a virgin, but I'm not proud of seeing how close I could get without having sex. trust me, it was too close. Anyway, I have a g/f now, my first REAL g/f, and, she is the girl of my dreams, and, she is soooo worth the wait! let me encourage you, your future husband/wife, will be worth the wait.

At school I met more virgins than I ever knew existed on the planet. They were making an honest effort to remain so. I have to hand it to them I didn't know such willpower existed.

Well its your choice really you could save, the reason you still are maybe because all previous situations have been against morals and plans, which i have to admit is my case. But i think you will find here that you can say pretty much what you like and be what you like as long as you are not hurting anyone here and that you respect that. Because i know its not my place to say as im still pretty young to this club but this place is brill and you'll meet loads of people probally in similar situations.

By the way im 21 going to be 22 this friday *cheers at himself on another lonely birthday* and i have too come close to losing my virginity, but if it goes against my morals e.g never take advantage of someone in any situation, then its plain and simple no. I'd a pretty naff experience of losing my virginity and can honestly say I was glad to be rid of the damn thing....however I have huge respect for those that are strong enough to stay true to themselves what they want out of life and love....wish I'd been that strong when I was younger. :)

Ok I don't post on anything really....but I lost my virginity when i was 15...to a guy whom I still try to forget...had I waited 5 months later I would have lost it to my true love...who I'm still with to this day...8 years! Well i lost mine to the guy that im with to this day :D at 16.. I never wanted to wait till we tied the knot, cause I wanted to know if we could be together sexually before hand, If you get married and then have sex you never know how its gona be together. So for me I was glad that i got rid of it and that we were great ever since. Now he was a virgin too But he seemed to know more than me lol go figure. IMO, if you have had anal or oral sex, you ain't no virgin. I may be wrong, but I define "virgin" as never had:

1. Vaginal sex
2. Anal sex
3. Oral sex

If your body has been penetrated by a dick in any holes on your body, I really don't believe you're a virgin.

But this is just my opinion, I could be wrong....

Defining virginity as "vaginal sex" leaves soooo much out and unaccounted for.

How would you define a man who had been with some number of men (it could be 1 or it could be 1000s), but never a woman. Would you say that he's a virgin? How about a woman who has had sex with some number of women but never a man?

How about a rape victim? She (or he) was certainly not in the frame of mind to be having sex, and certainly not enjoying it.

I personally consider that I've lost my virginity several times.
- The first thing I remember about being alive I was being mollested in my crib, by a woman. In that sense, I suppose I was "never" a virgin so don't know what I'm talking about. :)
- I remember sometime later, not a lot, being mollested (raped - forced anal intercourse then several years later (don't ask me) vaginal intercourse.).
- My first consensual sexual encounters were with women. The first one was a *very* special lady, whom I'll never forget. She certainly took my virginity in a glorious manner.
- When I was 20, I had a consensual encounter with a man, whom I lived with for 5 years afterward. That was wonderful too. :)

So, when did I lose my virginity? First nonconsensual encounter with a woman? First (anal) nonconsensual encounter with a man? First (vaginal) nonconsensual encounter with a man? First consensual encounter with a woman? First consensual encounter with a man?
