Managing my different personalities
 

I have three vehicles. I've noticed that for each, I have a distinctively different choice of music & radio presets.

Lincoln - classical music, NPR, Sinatra & Etta

Ranger - 80's music and classic rock (whenever I get the chance to drive it)

Motorcycle - Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Non Point...stuff like that


Anyone else do this?

Having the one car, I can't apply this theory to different vehicles. However, I do have different playlists on my iPhone to work with my moods including: Driving home, Cocktails, F-ing depressed, and My phone is a Pain in the ass.

No, all my personalities just sit together and jam.

If I shuffled my music library and tried to listen to it, I'd end up an emotional rollercoaster.

It's funny...when I'm in my car, I feel more refined and enjoy listening to older music while gliding down the street in luxury. When I'm on the bike, I want to rocket around listening to angry metal.

Reversing that would just feel wrong. Like wacking off with the wrong hand. lol

I tend to stay in the same years of music (mostly 70's and 80's), but my style differ. Sometimes it's Gordon Lightfoot for when I just want to cruise, or it could be AC/DC when I want to blast down the road. Everyday is a Meatloaf day though.

I'm a shuffler....that way I always get a nice surprise.

I have multiple personalities.

And so do I.

I listen to whatever the voices tell me to listen to.. :D

My radio's broke. :(

Only two of my four personalities are schizophrenic, but one is paranoid, and the others are out to get him.

Just because he's paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get him.

Just because we're out to get him doesn't make him paranoid.

And if we = I...we're out to get ourselves. Sometimes I think that's the story of my life. I'm determined to do myself in. :p

Selected pieces of opera, jazz, or light jazz in the Mercedes. AC/DC, Van Halen, Stones, Foreigner, Def Leppard, Beatles, lots of 70's & 80's rock...in my Durango.

Sometimes moody and put on Joe Jackson, Gershwin, Vivaldi, George Winston, Etta James, soundtrack from Northern Exposure...(Great Series!)

Also like, Billy Joel, Cars, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. BIG fan of the Cheiftains! Emer Kenney is quite good, too. (And on & on & on & on...)

I've an eclectic taste in music.
