Swollen, achey, gigantic, red-hot boobs
My hormones are on a roller coaster and I find myself every so often with these monsters on my chest. What do you do to make them feel better? They remind me of when they were engorged and squirting milk.

I also have this happen every couple of months or so... :(
While this doesn't totally elevate the pain, I have a different bra that I wear - bigger cup size as well as extra padding on the straps. Poor Cobalt... he likes the extra fullness, but the reaction he gets as he slowly reaches toward the twins is "DON"T" "Touch" "my" Boobs"!!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
It's a bit drastic, but you could always aply a chainsaw.

Bite your tongue! I'm gonna take your question seriously, Lil, would ice packs help maybe? Wrapped in a towel, of couse, to avoid the shock of too much too fast, but it seems that cold is the answer to swollen, sore anything... |
*pictires scotz holding ice packs on the part of him that gets swollen and sore* wrapped in a towel of course :p
|
Perhaps a gentle massage with some warm baby oil.
Or spooch. ;) |

That's our WilrIrish all ways willing to give some helping spooch when he can. |
He's a giver ;)

Cabbage leaves tucked inside when you are wearing your most comfy bra---really! You'll smell like coleslaw, but you'll....aaaahhhh...feel so much better.
|
Hi Lizz! ((hugs)) I remember that advice from nursing days.
It's better now. Just a few days of it and then they are fun bags again ;) |

Don't laugh, it's happened... (think back to 2003) |
ah! Yes! I remember it well! ((hugs))

Hmmm...I think you have some hot and sexy Pixies men help you with them. Yeah, that's what I think.
:p |

I'm a hands on type investigator. However, until I can get the investigation started, try one of these fur liners :console:

First I ever heard of a little pussy making your boobs feel better  |
Beats :cock: soup!

All kidding aside....does the cabbage work???
I have the same problem and a hot shower and "get the hell away from them" typically helps (much to Pack's dismay)...I also have slept in a sports bra those nights (if its really bad) to keep them supported. So if you figure something out that works...I am all ears (or eyes in this case). |

Have a look at this from Kellymom, and this, too for more information about using cabbage leaves to relieve engorgement :) Any lactating moms reading this should take care to limit use of cabbage leaves as they are thought to decrease milk supply. |
WOW!
That is fascinating (and a bit funny). Too bad hubby doesn't like coleslaw! Thanks for the info!! |

Howdy there folks, I was going to make my own topic, but saw this one here, recently by girlfriend has been complaiing that her breasts are really sensitive and they hurt alot whenever touched or even brushed against, this has been going on for about a week and seems to be getting worse (at least from the complaints I"m hearing). She has become really worried that she has something wrong and getting this woman to go to a doctor is next to impossible, any insight anyone could offer? , I'd like to offer her a bit of reassurance/ beat her in the head with a stick and drag her to the doctor if need be lol

First thing I would do if I were her is a pregnancy test. I'd never suffered with sore or achy boobs before becoming pregnant and that was the earliest sign of my first pregnancy. I was in agony from around one week after conception. Not sure what else to suggest, apart from cabbage leaves, but I'd certainly rule out or confirm the possibility of pregnancy by peeing on a stick before going to the doctor  |
Rabies =) no honestly get a pregnancy test done my boobs hurt for the fir st couple of months of my pregnancy or your just being too rough =p
|
yes cabbage works my daughter used it when she couldn't breast feed lactose intolerance
