Irezumi Kiss 04-04-2007 08:29 PM

I got good and crunk last night...until this morning.

It was raining this morning and my clothes got waterlogged...that, combined with last night's drunk made them kinda stinky.

Got new manga today. New tankobon (collected volume) editions of Buddha, O-Parts Hunter, Cheeky Angel, ZatchBell! and The Law of Ueki. Good readin'.

osuche 04-04-2007 09:06 PM

Had another fight with the evil boss
I hired another sales rep today
I brokered a deal between two warring employees

Oldfart 04-04-2007 10:41 PM

I just paid a shitload for Easter Eggs (gotta keep the kids and grandkids happy).

Mrs OF's blue lovebird just laid her first egg, proving it's Easter.

I'm feeling OK.

Irezumi Kiss 04-05-2007 01:09 PM

My back has a bit of a crook in it. Probably a side effect from my all-night drunk this past Tuesday.

The weather is turning schizoid again.

I got an invite to a friend's sake-tasting shindig happening next Tuesday. She's a Japanese jazz singer and her boyfriend, who's my friend also, plays drums with her. I haven't seen them in ages and finally she has a gig that falls on my only day off. The only spanner in the works is that I'm totally homeless in my wallet and I can cruise on the cost of attending a lot farther doing other things elsewhere than the two hours I'd be spending there. But I don't get to go to these sort of things very often, if at all. Grrrrr...hate being broke!

osuche 04-05-2007 01:13 PM

I'm in a good mood this morning

I'd really like to get laid

I need some more sleep

IowaMan 04-05-2007 06:21 PM

I'm hoping the weather gets a bit better for the first part of next week so my contractor can begin re-framing my windows.

I'd really like to get laid too.

Sort of pissed/worried about the problem I'm having getting one of my prescriptions covered by insurance.

osuche 04-06-2007 04:24 PM

I worked on trouble tickets all morning

I have so much work to do I am drowning

I suck at playing sick

Lilith 04-06-2007 04:38 PM

I'm cute today. Other women are telling me so it must be true.

I only have 34 days of school left. Not that I am counting.

I plan on making Mr. Lil miserable tonight.

Pita 04-06-2007 07:41 PM

I had coffee this morning at my favorite Starbucks with my two favorite gal pals.
I think I finally understand something about fractions and turning them into decimals.
I took my daughter shopping for new clothes and almost survived.

Irezumi Kiss 04-06-2007 08:05 PM

A coworker of mine won't be coming into work tomorrow and I'll have to front her work on top of mine, which also means dealing with people around me I don't really have the peace of mind for right now.

This whole month will not be the best for me, financially. It's already fucking with my general mood and I need to keep it light.

I want just these four things to make me happy enough to ride out the tide: good food, music, manga and erotica.

IowaMan 04-07-2007 04:32 PM

Found out that my insurance is pretty much set on pissing me off but my pharmacist knows what he's doing and he cares about his customers.

Learned that my friend with CF who had the liver transplant is doing well.

Think I'll put new tires on the car for my California trip.

Pita 04-07-2007 06:17 PM

I made a color wheel for Visual Merchandising that could put any 5th grader to shame.

I wrote an essay about my favorite coffee establishment.

I have thought several times about cleaning off my desk and keeping rejecting the urge.

IowaMan 04-08-2007 04:57 AM

Buzzed what little hair I have left on my head down to as short as it's ever been. Oh yeah, I'm looking dead sexy today.

Get to spend the day with my best friend's entire family today and I can't wait to see all the kids. They love their Uncle IowaMan. :p

No sightings of rabbits putting eggs in the lawn yet. I've been hiding out back in the lilac bush with a shotgun for the past couple of hours. ;)

osuche 04-08-2007 09:51 AM

I'm approaching the drop dead date on several items and I need to get my ass in gear

I'm going mini golfing wiht friends later today

Mr Osuche and I had a good cuddle session this morning

rabbit 04-08-2007 07:50 PM

1) Went to church

2) Repaired some cracked plaster on my kitchen ceiling

3) Drank some brews and watched the Masters

IowaMan 04-08-2007 10:12 PM

I got together with my best friend and many of his family for the day and it was just what the doctor ordered. I love those people.

Made tentative plans to head to South Bend, Indiana with my best friend and his dad the weekend of the 21st. Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame! :thumb:

My right knee is completely numb right now after having a huge bag of ice on it for the last couple of hours.

sodaklostsoul 04-09-2007 07:53 AM

Wondering what IowaMan did to his knee, did I miss that post?

Been sitting here watching the birds and a bunny out of the window next to me.

Been looking at my nice keyboard all spotted with pop the child spilled, what part of no drinks or food on my desk does she not understand. Guess I should grab some q-tips and cleaner some time today.

IowaMan 04-09-2007 09:16 AM

Icing down the knee again. Sort of messed it up yesterday playing with the kids at the Easter gathering Soda. No big deal, it was well worth it.

The Cubs have their home opener today, weather permitting, so my happy ass will be parked on the couch wishing I was there. GO CUBS GO!!!

Was going to head down to Burlington, Iowa tonight to see my all-time favorite baseball player, Ryne Sandberg (see my avatar), as he is the manager for the Peoria Chiefs this season and they will be playing down there tonight. Think I'll wait until tomorrow night, maybe my knee will be feeling better. Gotta see Ryno though.

Eastern 04-09-2007 09:20 AM

1. Have an irish temper thats brewing.
2. relaxing since little one went to school
3. got some private time with new items

:cboy:

1nutworld 04-09-2007 11:47 AM

I'm enjoying a well deserved day-off today.

Ryan is here, so of course I am hanging out at Pixies.

My baseball team went 6-1 in the first week of the season, Hey IowaMan who's got better odds of making the World Series, the Cubs or my Admirals team?

Irezumi Kiss 04-09-2007 01:02 PM

I kicked my poorhouse self-pity to the curb and rolled me a good creative-energy fatty, smoking some nice, erotica-making haze. I need to roll up more of these for future use.

My back doesn't hurt anymore and I'm reminded to get active with my long walks and outdoor park runs once again.

I did laundry today just so I won't have to on my day off tomorrow.

IowaMan 04-11-2007 11:04 AM

I finally got the call from my pharmacist letting me know the prescription I've needed since last week has been approved and I can come and pick it up. Good thing it's not snow and icy or else that 20 mile drive on the curvy stretch of highway could be tricky. :car:

Looks like one of my vacation destinations for this summer is no longer an option.

Having one of those days where I'd give damn near anything to get laid.

Irezumi Kiss 04-11-2007 01:44 PM

I was happy I didn't go out last night like the devil in me was trying to entice me to do. It was new comic book day today at the shop and I spent the moolah I might've spent on drinks for some new volumes of favorite titles. Yep, some of them are erotic and adult, the stuff I love reading and gives me inspiration...much more enjoyable than a forgettable bottle of shochu.

Was also able to get in some drawing time and will finish some pieces I'd put off to the side soon. Unfortunately was too relaxed in a general sensual reverie to do the kitchen cleaning like I thought I'd make myself do.

Tomorrow is payday!

osuche 04-11-2007 09:38 PM

Work was somewhat logical today - calm before the storm, I am sure

I 'm almost done with my fellowship application - I sure hope I get it!

I need to start working out again. I haven't been since Sunday

osuche 04-14-2007 08:41 PM

I think I killed the thread

I met one of the founders of Starbucks today
I surprized a fellow student
I worked out and had Chipotle, and am feeling more content in this moment than I have for a long time

campingboy 04-15-2007 12:42 AM

It was a lovely spring day here so:
1) Started my day off with a big latte and read the Newspaper.
2) Worked on a friends computer - turning it into a Linux system
3) Went shopping for some part for the trailer I'm building.

dicksbro 04-15-2007 03:14 AM

1) I woke up too early
2) We have church this morning
3) Hosting a dinner this evening

IowaMan 04-15-2007 07:11 AM

I woke up too early too.

Realized very soon into my "long" walk that the chilly air was going to be a bit much for me so I made it only about 25 min. :(

One last once over for my taxes before I mail them in. They've been done for nearly two months but I've been too damn lazy to mail them.

osuche 04-15-2007 10:32 AM

I have to finish my taxes today
I'll spend the rest of the day working on my two class finals and getting ready for the end of the semester
I'm feeling better than yesterday, although not perfect

Lilith 04-15-2007 11:26 AM

I made this very cool scarf this morning.

I paid off a high interest credit card.

I am getting excited about my summer vacation. 29 days of school left.

cavegirl 04-15-2007 11:41 AM

I am tired
I have been busy cooking all day
I am ready to go get a long soak and get into bed

rabbit 04-15-2007 01:14 PM

1) Must finish studying for Japanese class
2) I am just pissed at watching snow fall...it is fucking April 15!!!!
3) Cut myself pretty good shaving this morning...rare accident for me

IowaMan 04-16-2007 05:06 PM

- mailed in my taxes. (first time I've ever waited this long)

- Spent the day in "the city" shopping and even taking in a matinee.

- I'm the happiest right now that I've been in quite some time. :D

Irezumi Kiss 04-17-2007 03:04 PM

- After I dropped off some unnecessary belongings at the Salvation Army store up the street from my apartment, I was offered a chance to buy this guy's television set from him for $25. He and his girlfriend were in the process of moving out of their place nearby and I'm guessing he didn't want to lug it to the van. I told him I couldn't do it as I was flat broke. A minute later he runs back to me before I move away from the store window (I was looking at a used TV for $44) and tells me I can have the TV for free if I cart it away myself. The fucked up thing is that he tells me it's an older 27" model that his former roommate left behind. Older as in not flatscreen and very heavy. Without a cart or some sort of doily, it'd be impossible to lug it the block and some change back to my apartment. With no money on me, there's no way I can bribe any storefront to lend me theirs for twenty minutes, so...I had to let this catch go back in the water.

- I was momentarily pissed off at not being able to get that set, but after some minutes of walking around (what I planned to do today anyway, as it's my day off) I figured that, a) it might've been busted in some fashion to begin with, and b) I might've busted my back trying to lug that sucker up solo two stories to my apartment in the process. I'll miss not being able to watch porn on a wide screen, but at least I can walk straight!

- I walked into the city across the Brooklyn Bridge and bought three apples in Chinatown for $1 after burning thru my breakfast's fuel, eating one. Then I came to the Apple Store in SoHo where I'm writing this right now. Sometimes being broke doesn't mean you can't have fun with the free (and cheap) stuff you CAN do.

IowaMan 04-17-2007 05:03 PM

- It appears that my first winter by myself in small town Iowa away from immediate medical attention is now over. Can't say it was all that easy for me but I am happy to say that the game of life appears to have slowed down for me now and as I look around I see that I am still winning. Won't live to be eight years old my ass! :D

- I'm hoping my weekend plans for a trip to South Bend, Indiana haven't been cancelled but I haven't heard from my best friend to confirm that we're still on for the weekend. Then again, he is a CPA and this is sort of a busy time of the year for him. :p

- Still happy as can be that the work on the house is progressing nicely. :D

Steph 04-19-2007 03:10 AM

1. I haven't been able to be in touch with a lot of people lately & I hope they understand I think of them & pray for them & love them.

2. I think all this technology will be the end of the 'polis' & the real estate moguls will be the new court jester/politicians.

42.

3. I'm still working tons & looking out for the dog.

67.

but I still dream of tropical islands

Miss-Honey-Bee 04-19-2007 04:12 AM

1) Yesterday was quite possibly the most strange and emotional day of my life.

2) I just broke all of my nails. FFS!

3) I'm feeling quite bleh :(

IowaMan 04-19-2007 09:13 PM

- Talked with my sister today for about an hour. It was the first time we've spoken for a couple of months. Felt pretty good to talk with her given that our last conversation didn't end very well. But, tomorrow's her birthday and I had to remind her that she's getting old. :p

- Heading out of town for the weekend tomorrow morning with my best friend, his dad and his son. Going to see the Notre Dame spring football game.

- Had a very interesting request made to me today by someone at City Hall in my little metropolis. You wouldn't believe me if I told you what they asked me to do. I doubt I'll take them up on it but ......... I'll think about it.

oh, and the Cubs are playing the hated Cardinals this weekend!!! GO CUBBIES!!!

sodaklostsoul 04-19-2007 09:51 PM

Its been a long week working 2 stores. I'm tired.
Don't feel at home in my new home store.
I can't trust my new manager and it sucks.
