66F with thunderstorms in the area. We had a pretty good one within the hour, but, it's calmed down for now. Expecting more today with highs in the upper 70s. Kind of makes our picnic plans a bit tenuous.

Rain, Rain, and more Rain. My guess is that we easily exceeded two inches in the last hour and half and probably more than three. We're still under a tornado watch until 10PM our time (about seven more hours).

Scarecrow 05-30-2008 07:45 PM

Just got a tornado warning for the next 45min. One was spotted on the ground 25 miles to the west of me. Tornado sirens are just now going off.

Scarecrow 05-30-2008 08:22 PM

OK just got the all clear from that tornado warning, so we are just under a thunderstrom warning until 9pm local

Fortunately, things went pretty well here. Lots of rain (2-3" is my guess) but the worst concerns (hail and tornados) passed us by. This morning its 64F under fair skies with sunshine and a high of 84F predicted. Bit warm for me, but still a good looking day ahead of us.

Houston Texas here....the weather report here is fucking hot with 95% humidity and 100% chance of remaining fucking hot until October........oh yeah WITH heavy traffic! :)

dicksbro 06-01-2008 05:41 AM

Another warm one in store for us. 60F now with 83% humidity and expecting it to reach 85F later in the day. At least a remote chance we'll pick up a thunderstorm this afternoon, but otherwise, a good day for sweating. :)

Rained again last night. This has to be the wettest Spring in Maryland for many years!

VaBeast 06-01-2008 12:45 PM

I saw last night that we had the 3rd wettest May in history here in the DC area.

Interesting "nearly-weather" fact from long ago (if anyone's up for history): http://usparks.about.com/b/2008/05/...can-history.htm

It rained so much at home in NS last night that my parents' fish pond's liner floated up from all the water coming up underneath it. Two thirds of their goldfish are dead, there was only about a bucket of water left in the pond.

jay-t 06-01-2008 10:14 PM

High today 93 with 70% humidty even under the AC I'm hot and sweaty

Atlas 06-01-2008 10:31 PM

Sounds like San Antonio weather. I tried to be nekked most of my time there.

dicksbro 06-02-2008 02:46 AM

64F right now. Expected to reach the mid-80s again today under mostly sunny skies. If this continues we're going to be in air conditioner weather before I wanted. :(

dicksbro 06-03-2008 03:41 AM

70F and cloudy this morning and a rain shower just passed through. Humidity is at 82%. There's a 70% chance of strong thunderstorms today (although I hope they're wrong :wish: ) Only good thing is that the high isexpected to stay below 80F.
