Going to enjoy a long day of fun with a group of friends watching football and then the first game of the World Series (if the beer hasn't taken over too badly by then).

I'm hoping the weather lady is wrong and we won't get one to three inches of snow tonight. (Not that that's a large amount, I'm just not ready for it to snow yet.)

I should do a huge load of laundry but I just don't see myself getting that accomplished before my friends show up in a few hours. (Yeah, got a little bit of the typical bachelor thing going on there, even at 38 years old.)

-My eyebrow w/stitches is healing, however the bruising is becoming more pronounced along my face; but that is the healing process.

-Learning to communicate with our friend's new wife who is from Columbia. She's doing better at English than I am at Spanish. A nice, sweet, honest and hardworking couple.

-Realizing that is okay and even feels GREAT sometimes to say "No".

I have a feeling that today will be momentous.

Today is my day off and it is raining!

I need to find the plugged drain pipe so these rains don't keep backing up into my basement

Writing someone and mentioned it's only 8 weeks til Christmas!!!!

My house is torn apart as I keep getting deeper into my painting adventure.

I really would like to take a shower, but the shower is filthy from said adventure and lacking a curtain.

I absolutely despise wallpaper, and vow the next home I buy will not have a speck of it.

Slowly, but surely my house is getting put back together - YAH!

I woke to the unpleasant tingle of a cold sore on my lip - boohoo!

I've got a good list in my mind of things I need to run out to get today, I need to put it on paper so I don't come home without something.

It's my birthday.

My mom and stepson called to wish me Happy Birthday. My daughter and son have not.

My face is healing and the stitches are looking good. :)

I've had three exciting deliveries today:

1. The reusable nappies I ordered arrived

2. A completely unexpected and extravagant gift from a friend arrived (a gift certificate to go have a pre-natal Spa treatment!)

3. My lodger brought me flowers back from the supermarket.

What a lucky lady I am!

The nonprofit board meeting went well. No scars. I actually managed to not say anything....first time for that!

I spent my day alternating between meetings and intense reporting

I may have found a consulting opportunity

The networking session with my alumni group last night was amazing...had such a great experience!

Mr Osuche and I had lunch today...we've been so disconnected recently and we both felt great spending some time together

I have another event tonight, associated with the business plan competition. Should be fun...but....I'd really like a relaxing evening at home!

2. He and I are going to have the evening alone together. We may go on a date. :)

3. We drove around for 30 minutes this morning because all the streets down town were blocked off for a parade. Then we shopped at the public library's annual book sale while listening to marching bands.

I'm not leaving the house today either... it's wet and wickedly windy out there.

I have a mountain of laundry to do today, and I've got the first bit of it starterd.

I'm bummed that fall is almost over, nearly all the leaves are on the ground after the high winds.

I decided I needed to relax today. I cooked, I cleaned, and I watched 2 movies and I caught up on emails....tonight I'll get some class work done too. :D

Mr Osuche is gone all week (trip to CO) so I get to play bachelorette -- I plan on being healthy and getting some work done

I took a 2 hour nap/snuggle session with my husband; we haven't done that in a very long time. It felt great!

1. I watched my guys gut pumpkins.

3. I have a strange chest cold, with no other symptoms at exactly the same time as I got pneumonia the first time last year. Very strange.

1. I got an A+ on my economics test and was told that I have the highest grade in the class. :D

2. I got a very nice spanking when I got home from school

3. I get to have one of my favorite dinners tonight.

1 lost boy was horsing around and fell off the glider probably breaking his hand.

1 lost boy flushed my keys down the toilet and despite me making him glove up and go after them he could not retrieve them.

1 lost boy required me to wrangle him all the way around the classroom next door in order to use their lock down because their back door was locked. The same boy also once in lock down was discovered to have candy in one pocket and an entire bottle of gatorade in the other. This required me to then wrestle him for 25 minutes to remove said luxuries.

Missing Stephen.

Made a awesome dinner.

Spent a lot of quality time with the kids :D

I wish it would warm up a bit here. It shouldn't be in the mid-teens in early November, there's plenty of time for that in December and January.

I'm contemplating whether or not to check out the new casino down by Iowa City tomorrow after the football game.
