North of Nashville at Franklin ... thanks to Scotz advice ... we paid $3.67!!! :)

$3.79 is what I paid yesterday in E. Peoria.

gekkogecko 07-29-2008 04:49 AM

Effin' weird. One station was trying to sell it for $4.29/gallon. Down the street, $4.05/gallon.

And the claim is that the national average has finally dropped below $4.00/gallon.

That's approx .67 Euros per liter, if you'd rather deal with different units.

sodaklostsoul 07-29-2008 07:17 AM

Saw $3.81 yesterday.

jay-t 07-29-2008 05:27 PM

dropped to $3.36 a gal. today

jseal 08-03-2008 06:00 AM

down to $3.82 here.

scotzoidman 08-04-2008 01:17 AM

Filled up @ $3.65/gal today with the Kroger card discount.

Still getting crap mileage due to in town driving w/AC on.

dicksbro 08-04-2008 03:10 AM

Looks like we're at about $3.74 around here.

Good to see Congress adjourn without doing anything about energy issues. I think we're better off when they're away.

PantyFanatic 08-04-2008 09:54 AM

I filled up yesterday at $3.64/USgal. :)

CAD 1.02/L
AUD 1.07/L
GBP 10 shillings, 2 pence, (3-1/2 Bobs and a Harold)/IG

(guess where the US took their measurement system from? )

gekkogecko 08-05-2008 09:38 AM

Seems to have peaked at $4.39/USgallon a few days ago: now, that same statin is down to $4.05/USgallon.

So, tell me, what is your vehicle's rating in miles per gal?

jseal 08-05-2008 05:14 PM

I seldom get above 18 mpg.

PantyFanatic 08-05-2008 10:18 PM

Consistent 20-21 mpg with 40/60% city street/freeway :car:

BamaKyttn 08-05-2008 10:28 PM

what was my last figureing from going to see the boy? 38.9 miles/gallon? I love my car. 2 door manual trans '94 civic 220,000 miles on the engine/body

scotzoidman 08-05-2008 11:51 PM

In town, the V6 struggles to get the man.est. 19 MPG...of course, with the 90+ degree days running the A/C is a must, & yet I can still wring out about a quart, sorry, litre of sweat from the back of my shirt. Once in a while a road trip gets me 20+ MPG on the highway.

Have I ever mentioned my impeccable timing? Last year I figured, how bad could it be going from a four to a six?

Scarecrow 08-06-2008 12:21 AM

14 or 15 in town and 21 on the Highway.

dicksbro 08-06-2008 04:24 AM

The car we took to Nashville avereated 27.4 overall on the trip ... dipping to 21 or 22 for around the town driving.
