I just heard a song at work by john lennon, goes something like ...... i love you, now and for ever ; i think it is titled ''WOMAN''
but i'm not sure. can anyone help me out here??:(

Re: Woman

It is. (If we're both thinking of the same song):

Woman I can hardly express My mixed emotions at my thoughtlessness After all I'm forever in your debt And woman I will try to express My inner feelings and thankfulness For showing me the meaning of success ooh well

Woman I know you understand The little child inside the man Please remember my life is in your hands And woman hold me close to your heart However distant don't keep us apart After all it is written in the stars ooh well

Woman please let me explain I never meant to cause you sorrow or pain So let me tell you again and again (I love you now and forever)

One of the best, from **the** very best. Lyrics so simple, yet so true.

It shows how tastes vary.I think that John wrote that song for
Yoko or whatever her name was.I;personally;think that she ruined him and couldn't stand her! Irish
P.S.Different strokes for different folks!

Nubian 02-15-2002 06:40 PM

I think that there are many that would agree with you there, Irish.

So true, Yoko made herself so unlovable to everyone else; yet she seemed to inspire John, & I say what else matters? I guess because I've seen the same reaction to my wife, she can be abrasive, & I have lost friends over her - but after 27 years, I'm too tired to break in a new model LOL :p
While we're on the subject of Lennon's last album, there is what Paul called the most beautiful song he ever heard, "Beautiful Boy"; one line in that song lays me over every time...

"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"

Hey, that'd make a great quote, wouldn't it?

Nubian 02-15-2002 08:41 PM

It certainly would. And it's so true. What a loss ~sigh!

Beautiful Boy

~I love that song. I am a boy- mom. All boys at my house and that song makes me grateful anytime I get sad thinking about never getting to hangout in the Barbie aisle at my local dept. store.
~Regardless the inspiration "Woman" is a fabulous song. What a poet....

Nubian~ I though I was the only person who still remembers those great Atlantic Star song......Always was my wedding song.

Some of the best things that happened to me were

when I almost wasn't looking.

Don't discount pre-occupation.
