By the way, if any of you have folding chairs (for the picnic) you may want to bring them along. Not sure that the park by the river actually has seating. I was just planning on putting down some blankets or something on the ground (if they didn't have picnic tables), but my wife suggested the idea of bring along folding chairs if you had them and they didn't take up too much room. PF, we'll bring one for you.

Also, if you have a laptop, you may want to bring it. The rooms are suppose to have internet connections and so you could send updates back to Pixies and maybe even download any photos. :)

Just looked at the extended weather forecast for Peoria on Yahoo and they say Friday the 10th will be partly cloudy with a high around 92F. Saturday, sunny with a high around 90F (picnic day). And, Monday ... mostly sunny with a high of 89F. Not too bad for Illinois in August ... although, if by chance it dropped to the low 80's I wouldn't complain.

Thanks for the good July updates of road conditions. Now that we are past the "suppose to be" dates, do you see any current problems with coming south on I-55 to sr-116 W, to I-39 S, down to I-74 W?

No problem with that ... although you could just take I-55 all the way to I-74, too. Probably 6 of 1 or a half dozen of the other. :) Just be careful.

By the way, if anyone will have a cell phone with them (we don't have one), you might give PF your number so he could reach you if he had to. I suggested just leaving word at the hotel and I'd check there when ever we stopped in.

The Pixie Colors have officially been turned over to Pixies Play Peoria.



We thank the Guardian for her diligent and veracious guardianship of the Pixie Colors. Prying the Colors from her fist left few permanent markings and the Chairman of Pixies Play Peoria will pass on the Colors and a scroll to the new Guardian, with the additions that has been made, for safe keeping and Pixie perpetuity.

In a little more than 24 hrs out of town Pixies will start arriving for lunch. And PF will have his bag of peanuts.

18 Hours and just over 15 minutes until the lunch bell will start ringing for Pixies arriving at PIP! I'm getting my suitcase packed as I type ... well, okay ... not exactly as I type. But interspered with my packing is some typing. :spin:

:car: Just have to throw in the tooth brush and I'm packed. The soda's for the drive are being cooled and everything is a go for a 9:15am launch.

With 100% of the western precincts reporting I'm proud to announce that the winner is IowaMan and he's packed and ready to head to the convention in Peoria. :thumb:

The eastern precinct report locked and loaded.... I mean, packed and ready also. :thumb:

Gee, guess I'm behind............have'nt packed a thing but it don't take me long. :D

Remember Soda, PF and I have much less to pack as far as hair care products go so packing is a bit shorter task for us. :(

And my girlfriend gets everything ready so I pack fast. :)
