Nice! Whatcha get? Oh...also, I saw your doppelganger at the fabric store today. I had to look twice. It was uncanny.

People complimenting my skirt today. I'm learning to sew and it is my first completed project. I just finished it last night.

Lilith 08-30-2014 07:39 PM

I love going to the fabric store. I don't sew well but I like looking at all the doodads. Love to see your cute skirt.

Got Mr. Lil a Nissan Altima. All our vehicles are 10 years plus old so will be nice for him.

I drove an Altima for 10 years. It was a great car. Just watch out for those concrete curbs and parking bumpers; they like to rip the Altima front fender off.

I'm a noob at sewing, so I'm delighted that this one was actually wearable when I was done. Projects done in my youth were not so lucky. Pic attached, although the drawstring ribbon is now red. I changed it this afternoon after realizing I'd bought crappy, cheap ribbon the first time. Learning!

Lord Snow 08-30-2014 10:46 PM

Lil, I realize you don't have to worry about this yet, but watch out when buying replacement parts for your Altima. Nissans are notorious for not liking after market.

AZ, great attempt/success.

Lilith 08-31-2014 12:05 PM

Great job. I have sewn a dress, some board shorts for kids, and some elastic waist skirts before but nothing as cute as that. Really cute AZ

AZRedHot 08-31-2014 01:23 PM

Thanks, Lil. And Lord Snow.

It's from a book called Sew What Skirts. You make your own pattern from your measurements. This was the first (and easiest) one in the book.

Why being under AZ of course!!! :)

Rhiannon 08-31-2014 07:01 PM

great job Az

Seeing my little puppy deal with the crowd of 9 loud people by laying there and chilling, her deal with a hissing cat that's 3x her size by walking away, and she's actually starting to learn stairs.

AZRedHot 09-01-2014 03:38 PM

:wtp: of this cute puppy?!?!

Really cute

dicksbro 09-02-2014 12:50 AM

LS' puppy this morning. Yesterday afternoon we got home from a picnic with friends (about 40 miles from here) and saw that gasoline prices had dropped to $3.03 locally. Needless-to-say, I topped off the tank. :)

Oldfart 09-02-2014 02:42 AM

A pink tennis ball? Testicle practice?

Lord Snow 09-02-2014 06:33 AM

We got pink because Wilson is donating a portion of every sale to breast cancer research.

Oldfart 09-02-2014 07:37 AM

Good call.

AZRedHot 09-02-2014 11:11 AM

Too cute! What kind is she?

Lord Snow 09-03-2014 08:03 AM

OF, I'm always willing to save the tatas.

AZ, she's a dachshund mix, but we don't know what she's mixed with.

BIBI 09-11-2014 07:31 AM

Smiling about going out for Indian food tonight......

Lilith 09-26-2014 08:33 PM

Mr Lil had sedation today and kept loudly telling me the same story over and over.

Was it a good story? :)

More importantly, is he okay?

Went back to WalMart yesterday to see if I had left a package in the shopping cart and if someone had turned it in. They told me just get a replacement and that would be fine. Didn't have to pay for it although I offered. While the purchase was under $4, I thought that was very nice of them. :)

Lilith 09-27-2014 07:00 PM

He's fine and it was an embarrassing story told loudly

Lilith 09-28-2014 03:38 PM

Getting an ad for a rabbit vibrator in my Groupon list today.

dicksbro 09-29-2014 01:49 AM

You have a rabbit that's into vibrators? That's on horny rabbit! :yikes:

I remember when carrots were enough. :)

I guess I shouldn't talk. I have a car that likes to get it's chassis lubed.

Seeing the dog trainer try to give my puppy commands. Towards the end of the session she no longer wanted to listen and was over him yanking on her leash. LOL

dicksbro 10-26-2014 02:21 AM

^^^^ Puppy: 1; Trainer: 0. :D (A few more sessions and she should have him trained. ;) )

Looking forward to another really beautiful day today.
