1. Like PF, I am not leaving the house today...started planning that when I heard the weather report yesterday morning. Ten inches of new snow (on top of the old) sure does look pretty...from between the slats of the window blinds.

3. I just wish the inside of my house were as peaceful as the outside...darn snow days and bored children. ;)

4. A friend I've gotten close to in the last several months (even camping out for a week with her and her two sons at the Red Cross shelter) is moving on Tuesday out of state. It's a good move for her--she's had it pretty rough the last year or so--but the kids and I are already missing them.

I need to take along hike this afternoon

1. Another 6 to 12 inches today...of snow. Much more and we won't have any place to put it all.

2. I've been in "purge" mode for the last 24 hours or so...cleaned out my kitchen and am currently working on the bathroom. It's amazing how much crap you can accumulate in the course of everyday life.

3. I had a nice nap this afternoon, but it doesn't negate the fact I've been up late two nights in a row with a lot on my mind.

1. I'm pretty much on my own with the Lost Boys this week.

2. Of course that means the newer ones decided to try me today.

3. Today was not a good day for those who made that choice.

~ Got to wish my 17 yr old niece Happy Birthday on the phone and damn did it make me feel old. Of course, I went with the, "Damn, I remember the day you were born," line and she made me feel like an old fool . LOL

~ I discovered for about the 1 millionth time that Casey's pizza is absolutely the best. (You've gotta live in Iowa, South Dakota, Illinois or Mizzou to understand that. I think that's where Casey's is at.)

~ A cat hair toupe wouldn't look too much worse than George H.W. Bush's hat at the inauguration. LOL

I'm thrilled we have a new president.

I'm sick, but it's not strep, thank goodness.

I am about to retire to a warm bed and a good book.

[proud mom]I watched Most Honorable Son #2 spar and grapple for 2 classes, including going against 2 adult black belts, and completely hold his own. Not too shabby for a kid with CP.

I am listening to Most Honorable, Although Lazy, Son #1 laugh like a hyena while he watches Comedy Central and eats all the groceries in the house.[/proud mom]

TaxxxMan is sick and that is very rare. He's also whiny. If this continues I may have to have him put him down :p
