1. After church my wife and I had fun going shopping together.
2. We stopped on the way home to visit a friend who just got home from the hospital yesterday following back surgery and was delighted to see he seemed in pretty good shape.
3. My wife and I ended the afternoon visiting the touring Vietnam Memorial and sharing coney dogs and root beers at a local root beer stand.

Today is my last day of being unemployed

I had a decent time sailing, and an even better time at maker's faire. Then I had an impromptu dinner party at my house.

We had 21 families through our place at the open house, and we're still hoping for momentum in the sales process.

I have to pull the night shift at my office tonight. I could've just said no and stood my ground since it wasn't my problem the shift wasn't covered when it was supposed to have been, not to mention it's my time off after my regular shift is over, but I didn't feel like dealing with a potential cold shouldering from my boss. I won't bite next time, though.

I can scan in some of my artwork during the downtime.

My paycheck will have some overtime fat on it come next week. Lemons into lemonade!

I survived my first week

Tomorrow I drop my MIL and mom at the airport and we get our lives back

We got the apartment we really, really wanted

My next month will be hectic with the move, and continuing learning in my new job

I survived 2 meetings that could have been ugly but went really well.

I was offered tenure.

I went to bed at 8 to celebrate :p
