Hey all. Great tats. (better than saying nice tits, I guess...) :D
It's great to see everyone's ink. I've got 3 that I'm pretty sure I've posted; however, I'll post them again. The first tat I got is on my hip. It's from an album cover of a group called PWEI (Pop will eat itself). I just really enjoyed the design. I got it on my hip because I wanted one just for me (and apparently you at Pixies... and people at bars when I get really drunk. don't ask) My second tat is on my right ankle. It's a sun burst. I just wanted a cool design so I got it. My 3rd (and final???) tat is on my left calf. I got it after I finished my marathon a year and a half ago. I have tons of ideas for getting others, but have waited several years between the ones I've gotten. Better to make sure of what you want before it becomes fairly permanent |
Irish ~ that's what this guy did, but he did it all the same day. He ran his design on a copy machine to get the outline then transfered it to my leg. After that he just filled it all in with tribal black.

Eros---I'll get back to you!I have a follow-up appt.,for the operation,on my back,& I have just enough time to get there! Irish

always thought about a tat, but never got one, and i don't plan on it actually, but hey to each their own right? I have a belly ring and that's my fun so far...with the money i can get a tattoo with, I'd rather just donate it to one of my favourite animal/environmental charity

I've felt a tattoo was something you may want to give some real thought to as it is going to be there for a while and should probably state something you have long term convictions about. I'm not sure how I avoided one while in the service with a pretty gung-ho group. Even the 'subtle' majority got one under the left arm with their blood type, serial number and the unit crest.
Being that I always preferred face to face discussions, I didn't need a skin statement but now I'm getting to where I may not always be able to express my view of the situation. I figure that three score of experience is long enough to be certain of what I want to say and that it will still be legible when I'm done with it. So my Pixie family is the first to see what I will never be able to look directly at. |
. . . . but there are no old, bold mice.
I need to know more about Dubblz's ex being "Splippery When Wet". After 5 years, I'm still waiting to find out. Anyone, please? |

I though I was under a lucky star. How old do mice get under that southern cross? ;) |
Getting a tattoo is such a liberating experience... I have four already, my first was when I was nineteen; I'd gotten it six months after my dad died. In fact, that tattoo was in honor of him. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles... so I got the HD emblem with his birth and death dates underneath it. Yes, I'd say for someone to get a tattoo that is going to last for life, it has to mean something to you, whether it has something with family, something you love ,etc. Anyway, I'll probably be covered with them by the time I've gotten old... but all I'd have to say by then was that at least I'd enjoyed my youth. By the way, Lizzardbits, I just love your "crow" tattoo.

I have one; I got it last year, at the tender age of 37. When I got it, I was sure it'd be my only. But you know, once you break that seal, it's a lot easier to consider another. :) The Mr. and I are working on a design for a new one even now.

Really old PF. When they're over 100 we call them kangaroos. |
Now THAT'S a bold mouse.:yikes: (Maybe there's hope after all) ;)

So in another thread I had mentioned my crow tattoo, I knew there had been a thread, decided to look it up and WOW! I posted those pics exactly 7 1/2 years ago, and LOL, all I could think was, dang, I was thinner back then, and geez, I need new ink! :)
PF I like the ink! |
I got some new ink for my anniversary. An infinity symbol made with 2 hearts on the inside of my left wrist.
|
I'm getting an addition built on my shoulder tattoo this afternoon. More of the mehndi, plus some poppies to match those on my back.
