as far as the intelligence and common sense thing goes...

Ive noticed that the smarter kids are the LESS common sense they have. Dont ask me why. Ive also noticed that the dumber kids are the LESS common sense they have.

This observation, while intuitive, is no help at all. Anyway, I have 3 kids (and Im only 19 yrs old). They are named Jane, Mick, and Guido. Jane is 6 months old and loves to sniff things. Mick is 2 years old and loves to lay on things, and Guido is 5 yrs old and needs to be put on ritalin.


ps: Jane is a bloodhound, Mick is a great dane, and Guido is a german short-haired pointer.

Common sense only go's so far.No offense lorelei but my daughter
is your age and for all she's been through in rather short life ,she has survival instinct beyond her year years,she has the gift of forgivness for what this for junkie mom put her through...i.e. being
taken away kickin and screaming along with her lil bro cuz her mom didn't wanna stop doin dope.Being up for adoption for 2 yrs cuz i wasnt ready to do what i needed to do.So if you think common sense has anything to do with that.Ya live and learn.
Book smarts and common sense well there's a thin line.See in my oopinion it basically comes from the heart...the heart is the greatest teacher. :):)

I have one... a son who is about to be 8.. and wise beyond his years.


Just a note.... now adays.. a woman CAN claim "# that I know of... ". There are women out there that for whatever reason, choose to donate their eggs to other women (couples)... that being the case... the children born are still biologically theirs..

dzbuster---It sounds as if you need the bumper sticker,that I
saw in the Drugstore parking lot.Every time that I go there,I see
numerous cars with a sticker on them that says:My son/daughter
is an honor student.I saw one that I really liked the other day.It
said:My son/daughter ISN"T on the honer roll;but they can kick

Let's see I have two kids that I birthed!

Mike is 29 and married with no kids as of yet and my daughter Sandra is 27, and mother to my 6 year old grandson. I have three other kids that I helped raise for 7 years who are still an integral part of my life, 2 boys aged 14 and 12 and a girl aged 11.....then there is Harley and Rufus, my dogs (biggest kids around) AND I always have two or three teen girls with me for I run a treatment home catering to independant living. You might say that I can call my life "KIDS ARE US"........most days they keep me young and on others I feel they are aging me! ;)

Wow, this has turned into an interesting thread...

I've got 3. My oldest boy is turning 18 next Monday (Dec 23rd) -ugh
My daughter will be 16 in a couple of months -the most mature one out of the bunch...
My youngest boy is 3. I don't think he's a genius... just the cutest little booger that ever lived!
...takes after his dad... *snicker*
(I guess it's grandstanding all the same)

I'm thinking this is something like pure-bred dogs not having the common sense that mutts do.

Lorelei is young and has yet to experience parenthood. She has valid comments for one who has not been there. I am sure i had similar views in the same position.

I think that she is a thoughtful person with interesting insights into things and it is great she puts them in here. ponder on what her views will be in 15 years and is probably a mother.

Be kind to our young ones people remember that experience is what you have and to get it you have to go through life.

I have one son. He is 29 yrs. old. He has never lived with me though. There is a LONGGGGGGGGGGGG story here. I will tell you all sometime.........when the time is right! It's not right at the moment..........Nope......not yet!

Have never been able to have any other children..........so I guess you could say I am childless. But then this is another LONGGGGGGGGGG story..............and I repeat.........the timing isn't right yet!

I have two (Twins) 14 yrs. old a Boy and a Girl.

I'm very lucky my Daughter is still here .She was in a terrable car wreck on June 29TH (I guess I'll never forget that date)

She was in the Car with her two best friends,the driver was going to fast and lost control.......he hit two trees and wrapped his car around a thrid tree.......My beautiful Daughter was the only survivor.........she excaped with both arms broken and a nice bump on the head............she's doing great now....The Lord was with her.

I didn't mean to cry on any sholders......... but, it really hits home sometimes

a boy 17 to be 18 in january a boy 16 a girl 14

they r all genuises just on diffrent subjects

18 year old on putting cars in the ditch on icy roads

16 year old on dreading his hair and sleeping in class

14 year old has a masters in shoe shopping

2 year old on getting whatever he wants without talking
