Just returned from visiting old friends in Michigan (Wow! What a story – but that’s another thread :D), and the price there, at $2.21/gal, was just a touch higher than back here in Baltimore, at $2.19.

Along I80, the price was at least ¢10/gal higher. They make you pay for the convenience!

Welcome back, jseal. I think we're about $2.26/gal here although, in all honesty, I haven't looked real close for a couple of days.

Seems like it has risen again. Just bought regular at $2.75.

It's $2.26, but just up the road about 30 miles it is $2.10 a gal.

As a buddy was filling his tank tonight he saw the attendant go out and start to change the price.

He called me up and I filled my tank at $2.12, the next car at the pump will be paying $2.35.

I paid $2.16 this morning in Des Moines and when I got over here to eastern Iowa it was $2.19 at most places.

Yesterday afternoon, it was still $2.23 at the low end here; but, you guys are encouraging me to think maybe it'll be dropping some. :wish:

That may well be true. The underlying price of a barrel of oil has come down recently.
