Calling out squish while on a dog sled would not be the same as mush.

Eating tea

Pita 11-18-2004 09:09 AM

^^^^Your eating Tea!

Wacks WI about the head with a wet trout. Tea is what we call dinner and dinner is lunch. Except when it is early. Then it is 11ins or when it is late. Then it is arvo. Got it?

osuche 11-18-2004 10:42 AM

/me wonders if her head is pounding cause of the flu, or cause of that ^^^

Pita 11-18-2004 10:42 AM

You wacky Aussies. Next you will say that some of you wear plungers on your head. :D

Catch22 11-18-2004 10:46 AM

Only Australian made plungers and never while having tea. :p

Catch22 11-18-2004 10:53 AM

Oh and on a Sunday, dinner is dinner. Cause it is usually lamb roast. Unless it is take away. Then it isn't. Got that?

Take away? Is that the same as take out? :D

I do believe Australia has the very best plungers too. ;)

Would you go to Australia for a plunger though Tess? ;)

Pita 11-18-2004 11:51 AM

If I thought that plunger could do the job. :D

What do you look for in a good plunger?

Take away is take out. Unless it is fries, then it is fish & chips. Even if you don't have the fish. Got it?

Cjack 11-18-2004 01:09 PM

Killing time while my wife works.
Dang wish she was here.

So when you eat tea for dinner/lunch, but are late...you're actually eating arvo.

And when you eat tea for dinner/lunch but are early...you're actually eating 11 inches? :yikes:

Got it! :D

I think.

Sharni 11-18-2004 06:39 PM

We have
Brekki ~ Breakfast for you non aussies
Smoko ~ not allowed to call it that now tho...tis not politically correct  its Morning Tea/afternoon Tea or just a short break....well guess what to this Aussie its Smoko
Brunch ~ A mix of Brekki and lunch..too late to have brekki but too early for lunch*L*
Lunch/Dinner ~ Lunch is usually a light meal....But is called Dinner if its a heavy meal like a roast
Tea/Dinner ~ Night meal....Depends on how ya brung up as to what ya call it
Supper ~ snack before beddybyes

Think i got em all

Catch22 11-19-2004 02:40 AM

Arvo is the afternoon smoko. If you do not eat anything at brekki, just having coffee or tea your having a cuppa.
If your posh you have a high tea, but it is after dinner and before tea.
Got it?
Oh, an a barbie is not a dinner or a tea. It is a barbie

jseal 11-19-2004 05:54 AM

...and people wonder why I love Pixies?

Sharni 11-19-2004 06:03 AM

Arvo is just short for Afternoon here...nothing else....must be a regional thing
