FallenAngel5,

Yes'm. It is a bit of a bother, isn't it? Sometimes, when they're behind me, I can watch the reflection of their car shimmer in time to the bass beats of their music. About the only contentment I can get from the situation is the knowledge that the driver behind me is in the process of damaging his (or anymore, her) hearing.

My pet peeve.

Those who don't respect other's opinions because those opinions differ from their own. I am tired of having to zip my lip or ignore the elephant or donkey in the room because it may offend someone...or get me an ass chewing.

Double Amen to that! Although I am not very good about keeping my opinion to myself regardless of what the majority thinks of it.

And also...

My dear darling jseal,
I am the one behind you in the car damaging my hearing :wingang:
I am truly offended that you don't appreciate my superior taste in music.
Yours Truly,

LAW

*not offended, just being sarcastic* :x:

jseal 07-08-2005 07:17 PM

Huh?

I can't hear yah!

Speak up please!

I like my music in the car loud too - so I can't hear myself sing, lol - but I like my MUSIC loud, not just the bass, which becomes so loud you can't hear the rest of the song. Don't get me wrong, I love to see people in the car jammin to good music. :)

A "Pet" Peeve...

Mowing the lawn. Distracted by dog #3, only to find out, too late, that dog #1 has just pooped in front of the mower, I've run over it and it spit out the back. Thank God I wasn't wearing shorts! :yikes:

waltaja 07-08-2005 11:10 PM

maybe not a pet peeve, but an annoyance none the less...

certain people's mother's who don't see the good in letting their daughter fly out to meet a nice, wonderful, charming drunken guy like myself.

Steph 07-08-2005 11:51 PM

~people who cut in front of you when you're walking and they then slow to a crawl. Can't they see I'm practically a speed walker?

Can't she just tell mommy she is going to visit the ocean and you are the tour guide? :D

waltaja 07-09-2005 01:04 PM

i get the impression her mother wouldn't be terribly receptive to that. but i'm running out of ideas...it's worth a shot!

cherrypie7788 07-09-2005 01:34 PM

^^^ Anything is worth a shot at this point! lol

Steph 07-09-2005 02:01 PM

What mom doesn't know can't hurt her! Couldn't you say you were going to Bible Camp or something? :halo:

cherrypie7788 07-09-2005 02:03 PM

Not when she's financing the trip :(

wyndhy 07-09-2005 02:15 PM

cherrypie7788 07-09-2005 02:35 PM

I'm afraid the mountain is sorta stuck too :(

flutelady 07-09-2005 02:38 PM

Hang in there, sweetie. If it's worth having, it's worth waiting for!

Steph 07-09-2005 10:30 PM

I just know my mother worried for the wrong reasons -- she was worried about what other people would think, etc. Therefore, this still belongs in the 'pet peeve thread' as well as on my shrink's table!

maddy 07-11-2005 09:47 PM

people who fail to take responsibility.

Steph 07-11-2005 09:56 PM

People who jinx themselves!!!

In Cheyanne's bug thread, I said bugs leave me alone but noooooo, as soon as I wrote that I got a gigantic bite.

My ex-husband and I were out walking the dog and he said, "I've never been happier in my life" and I yelled, "Nooooooooooo, don't jinx things!"

Sure as shit, our house burned down the next week!

OK, that's not a pet peeve as much as a superstition but I'm too supersititious to start a superstition thread!

IAKaraokeGirl 07-11-2005 10:16 PM

Not receiving the support you'd like from someone who should support you unquestioningly.

Cheyanne 07-11-2005 10:57 PM

((((((((((IAKG))))))))))))) Keep your chin up hun...

cherrypie7788 07-13-2005 03:01 PM

Add people who come over to your house, stay all day for no apparent reason, drink all your mello yello and eat all the chocolate, stay on your computer, and then act huffy when asked (politely) to give it back.

Steph 07-13-2005 03:04 PM

^^^ reminds me of druggie friends who have no concept of anyone but themselves

:ahole:

Man! That happens to me too! He comes over, stays all day cruising the web for porn, drinks all the coffee in the house and eats all the damn oreos!

But it's usually my other personality! :D

cherrypie7788 07-13-2005 03:11 PM

^^^ Lol

wyndhy 07-13-2005 03:12 PM

.....delayed flights :(

cherrypie7788 07-13-2005 03:14 PM

And stupid ass drivers who cut you off at the gas pump when all the other pumps are full

I think auto zone is having a sale on licenses this month, because stupidity is in full force.
