at the moment its a mixture of concrete walln n white wall paper

go with watery colors, lil. it'll look good with a grey carpet and bring in some liveliness. won't clash with the bath either. plus blues/bluegreens are supposed to be soothing to the eye before sleep
(omg--that means you might have aqua in your bedroom  :D mine is an offwite with a nice stenciled border in a darker shade. i'd like to paint it taupe or something else a bit warmer. |
Ours is light blue with dark blue trim around the doors & windows...also we took up the ugly pink carpet my mama left behind, revealing the original hardwood floor...just a 3 x 5 area rug by the bed so's I don't hafta step onto a cold floor when I get up...

I have grey carpet also but my drapes and accessories are in burgundy. I have custom made doors and trim and it's natural in color so I went with off white on the walls.
I felt it would be too dark in there if I used anything else. |
I suggest stone block walls, with iron rings mortared into them.

The rest of my house is grays, taupe and blues (with the exceptions of the kid's rooms which are insane), with all stark white trim mouldings...I'm weird about that :rolleyes2 so I am just trying to avoid clashing.
So many of your bedrooms sound like comfortable inviting places to visit;) |
mine is a khaki/grey color. I picked that because I can change the whole look by changing the valances and bedspread. Right now the curtains and bedspread are black and red. Very dramatic. If it were up to me I think I would paint it red but hubby says red makes him tense. Next I'm going to buy me some Maroon/plum sheer hanging valances and a solid maroon/plum bed ensemble though. I love the jewel tones against the grey.

Boring white

My walls are dark teal tongue and groove boards (because I stripped the ugly ass rose wallpaper off as soon as I could), with light blue-green trim. The ceiling is painted the light blue-green to match. I'm getting sick of it.

Mine are white. But when you rent, you don't really have many options.
