Mr. Hope if you get the internet in heaven thanks for the memories, you gave your heart and soul to the world and in return got the love respect and admeration of the world. Your countless acts of giving of yourself especially to our troops defending our country is pure class. I know somewhere in heaven you probley will be putting on shows for all our loved ones up there to enjoy once again thank you.

LMAO. Thanks to everyone who responded to this thread. I was really bummed out yesterday when I heard the news, he was a true icon. I would like to also take the time to thank all the members of the armed forces, thru who's sacrifice I am able to enjoy all the freedoms I do.

I had to cry, could not hold itin last night.
I grew up only 3 miles from him and my dad worked at NBC Burbank and got to meet him and saw him from time to time in the studios with dad, seen some of the behind the sceens stuff. Never forget.

This was more then a mild stone for me, to see so many of the old movie stars and new casters going away.

This man was one I have watched close all my life.

Outstanding man, and what a life full of laughs, and hard work.

He will be missed

I just want to add my thoughts......as I missed this thread when it was put up.

Well.....not much to add to the above (you've said it all).......but that he lived to be 100.....just as he wished and for that.....it consoles me for him and his family!
