Lord Snow 11-06-2013 09:57 AM

I've worked the last 9 days, and am hoping to keep working without a day off until Thanksgiving (I know I'm nuts).

I bought a car so I can give my dad his truck back.

Now his truck is acting up.

I know exactly how you feel. I went cold turkey just over 30 years ago and it's still there, sitting just over the horizon.

Great kudos, BIBI.

BIBI 11-07-2013 12:16 AM

Thanks OF :kisser:

Lilith 11-07-2013 11:13 AM

I'm at 25 years. Still walk behind smokers and inhale :p

BIBI 11-07-2013 11:42 AM

Funny, some days I could be charged with following too close in order to get a whiff and other days the smell is revolting....

WildIrish 11-07-2013 01:19 PM

I quit smoking when it went up to 85 cents a pack! It was biting into my allowance. I can't imagine how people can afford it now.

Lilith 11-11-2013 08:14 AM

I drank copious amounts of wine last night.

My phone battery died and I missed out on my favorite man's manhood.

It is probably safer that my phone died when it did. :p

Lord Snow 11-14-2013 08:50 AM

Someone got hit by a car walking across the parking lot at work.

My girlfriend completely fails at being a geek.

My shoulders hurt from work.

WildIrish 11-14-2013 10:11 AM

I love my job.

I have little tolerance for people that continually ask for more than what I can give.

I'd like to extend an open invitation to an art exhibit being hosted at my building this weekend, to every Pixie everywhere. Tours of my office can be arranged by special invitation. ;)

Lord Snow 11-14-2013 10:56 AM

WI, I think you misspelled orifice.

That's a VERY special invitation.

I have a job interview tomorrow for one of those jobs that could change the course of your whole life.

Billy Joel tix go on sale in the morning and I am going to buy them for TaXXXman for Xmas. Billy Joel is his fave singer.

If I don't get this job, I have some major decisions to make. Most Honorable #2 wants to go away to college and I want to make it happen.

Would it change yours too?

Lilith 11-14-2013 04:08 PM

Thank heavens, it is not as an editor.

WildIrish 11-14-2013 04:47 PM

:ewe: anyway

BlondeCurlGirl 11-20-2013 07:34 PM

I'm back at Pixies Place after a long absence. I'm happy! :)

Can't wait to warm up with my man in bed tonight and brace for the onslaught of snow.

Thinking about cracking a bottle of wine open...any suggestions?

Oldfart 11-20-2013 08:19 PM

2011 Penfolds Cabernet Sauvignon if you're into reds.

Almost any Verdelho if you're a white drinker.

Battery acid if you're a Chardonnay abuser. They're interchangable.

Love the battery acid reference to Chardonnay. Can't stand it unless it's unoaked.

You might try a Beaujolais – I’m fond of them. :wine:

Oldfart 11-21-2013 04:56 AM

We're not allowed to call wines by their French names, in case there are some people out there who could misconstrue that an Australian Beaujolais or Champagne might be French.

Lilith 11-21-2013 09:52 AM

Menage a Trois is our house wine :p

You would think that the word Australian on the bottle would counter that belief :p

BIBI 11-21-2013 06:49 PM

It's a Eurpean Union thing, which if we don't go along with, impacts our trade to Europe.

jseal 11-21-2013 08:47 PM

Yep! France won the fight in the WTO to limit the name of Champaign to one type of wine grown in one region of France a few years back. :whack:

BIBI 11-23-2013 11:01 AM

I am feeling the cold today
I really don't feel like taking my dog for a walk
I am going now, to take my dog for his walk lol.

Oldfart 11-23-2013 06:17 PM

I'm going to see the Doctor Who spectacular at the cinema today in 3D.

I need to tie down some stuff ahead of an expected gale.

It's going to be a good day.

Lilith 11-25-2013 03:49 PM

I'll soon be ready for my Pixies World Tour. I went and got a passport today.

I am going to a special class for teachers who will teach orientation and mobility to blind students. They are eating dinner at a restaurant under blindfold.

I love Nasonex.

AZRedHot 11-25-2013 03:52 PM

Winter has arrived and it's promising to be a bad one this year. I can feel the complaining (mostly my own) coming on.

I just finished my Xmas shopping. Thank dog for the internet.

I'm ready for a nap.

Lord Snow 11-25-2013 08:11 PM

I slept like a rock today.

I have two more nights of work then I'm off until Sunday evening.

I'm still tired, and I don't know why.

BIBI 11-26-2013 01:57 AM

I am really starting to think I want to move somewhere a tad warmer
I lost a new book of stamps that I bought today
I am not getting any shopping done for Christmas

dicksbro 11-26-2013 03:12 AM

Want to try and get our lights on the bushes.
Have to get ready to go up to our daughter's tomorrow afternoon.
Suppose to get together with some friends this morning.

Lord Snow 11-26-2013 09:44 AM

I hate when something I order gets cancelled.

I'm having trouble finding a particular book. (Return of the Indian in the Cupboard in hardcover).

I have one more night of work for the week.

WildIrish 11-26-2013 05:32 PM

I slept like a baby last night.

Cried all night long about needing a boob in my mouth.

And wet myself.

The book is called "Return of the Indian" by Lynne Reid Banks.

There is a third book as well.

I can't find it in hardcover either.

BIBI 11-26-2013 10:15 PM

I went shopping for Christmas
I bought not one present for my family
I bought myself a present lol

dicksbro 11-27-2013 04:53 AM

Gotta get packed
Gotta get the car loaded
Gotta drive up to visit with our daughter for Thanksgiving

Oldfart 11-27-2013 09:19 AM

Get back safely DB. Oh, and, you and the missus enjoy your Thanksgiving shindig.

Fangtasia 11-27-2013 12:33 PM

I've been so damn busy lately

I am sorta looking forward to the 10th, but I'm also not

I will soon be spending more time here while I recover
