Yep...nutmeg in the mix, cinnamon-sugar on top. I thought they were good, and the Mr. liked them, too. Next time, though, I think I'll use slightly less nutmeg in them (1/2 tsp instead of 3/4 tsp), and the Mr. voted for cinnamon-sugar on only half of them...he's a big fan of the plain cake doughnut. The recipe was really quick; let me know if you want it, and I shall hook you up forthwith! :)

Two weeks ago I went to see a movie on opening week (not the norm) that I wanted to ponder before making comments. This movie no doubt has more local interest than for others but also covered a contemporary period for me and a DISTANT connection.

I don't know why "Kill The Irishman" was filmed in Detroit as there was not one scene I can not take you to the actual location or the exact type setting as the movie. "The Deer Hunter" was set in Pittsburgh but was filmed in Cleveland because it "looked more like a steel city", so go figure their thinking.

As for the movie, it made Green out to be a bit of a hero. From what I knew he really wasn't a nice guy. With "based on true events", based on are the key words. A number of small details are wrong and a couple points they DID wrong but it gives you the gist of everything .......... with Hollywood's touch. It's like reading the news paper account of an event you were present at or involved in. Makes you wonder about everything you read. Good movie if you enjoy bad guy biographies.

I went to pick up my 1976 ford ranchero. It needs some help, definitely a bit more than just a coat of paint, but I bought it with that knowledge and many plans for the car.

Unless that's secret code for a still, we're talking about an evaporative cooler.
