I've gotten my hands on a ride-on lawnmower for the day! It will make our day so much easier on site... Normally we do the area we work in with the push mower!

hehehe...no way the Mrs would go along. Let's just say that I am flattered to still be so admired from a safe distance, but the feeling is no longer mutual.

Now on to TODAY:

1) Hit golf balls for lunch today and it was very cathartic in a weird way.

2) I stuffed myself with about a zillion free food samples at Sam's Club this afternoon. No need for lunch!!!

3) I have a business call at 9pm local time. What was I thinking when I agreed to THAT?

I found out there's an awesome restaurant not far from my house.

The woman I'd like to take there is far from my house.

2897 miles is just too far away for my liking. Then again, so is 7 miles.

I saw one of my best friends today!!! She came to see where I work, which involved a 2-hour detour for her (bringing her total driving time today to about 10 hours! :eek: )!

I got paid today! And nearly fell over when I realized how much I was getting paid!!!!!!! (About $5/hour more than last summer!!!)

My cat just jumped onto my bed (where I was laying) from all the way across the room... She landed with her claws out, and sliced 4 of my toes, vicious creature! Ah, good thing she's pretty cute... :rolleyes:

I really saw a huge cultural difference between myself and my coworker today!!!

Somehow, the 15 mm of rain we were supposed to get today avoided us entirely. We were able to work all day in the field after all! The wind nearly blew us away though. :p

I am sooo tired when I get home from work. Tonight after work I thought, I'll stop by Tim Hortons and grab a coffee, hoping it would keep me awake a bit. It didn't. I fell asleep and slept even more soundly than usual until Wilderness got home.

At not quite 24?! I wish! No the warehouse I work at in shutting down since we lost our contract. I have to go in to sign lay off papers and then spend next week looking for a job. I want to take at least one week before I call up a temporary agency asking if they have anything. Only "vacation" I"m going to get this year.
