- Practically speaking, I probably shouldn't have gone out Wednesday night to my old haunts since every little bit of dinero counts and I need to keep my head clear...but I've been fighting back depression and stress over this shitty month and I needed desperately to kick back in comfortable company. It was fun and I didn't spend a lot.

- I've got some apartment meets lined up for next week, hopefully they'll be good.

- I haven't run in over a week, which is not good. Also haven't done any art. I can't let my situation slow down and freeze the good roll I maintained since September.

My Achilles tendon is ripping, and it hurts like a bitch. And it's 2 weeks until I see the orthopedist.

- It was hectic for three hours when I got into work today, mostly thanks to the new deadlines imposed a few weeks ago.

- I'm about to go and check out the first of the apartments I've gotten replies to. I wish it wasn't so deathly dark outside.

- I would love nothing more than to lose my mind completely in something deeply erotic, sumptuously sensual and lewdly porny tonight, just so my mind can feel good in its more comfortable element instead of being perched on the edge of needling anxiety and depression.

Helped fix a "Santa" breakfast for the children in our church.
Cleaned ice off my car.
Salted our sidewalk and driveway.

The key to the one I wanted was the windows--lots of 'em. The smaller ones don't have much in the way of windows. So I'll be staying in the garage. I pouted awhile while I cleaned up out there, hammered a few nails, and I feel better about it. And I feel zero guilt about the new band saw I just got. So that's something. :)

I had a day of eating, sleeping, and studying. If it weren;t for the studying I'd be damn sure I was regressing to infant stage :rofl:

One of my students was included in a school wide speech contest.


My student gave a great speech and the crowd loved him.


He actually won and I had spent some much time the past week teaching how to be a good loser that I never considered needing to teach him how to be a gracious winner.

1) Depressed from a day of ice rain and gray skies.

2) Enjoyed reading about Saburo Sakai, a Japanese ace who survived WW2.

3) Studying ancient India with my daughter.

1) I amused myself during the staff meeting today mentally undressing my secret crush.
2) I dug out the want ads and looked for a new job at lunch today.
3) I don't know if it's lame to stay at a company I hate, where I get paid well and they just gave us lifers an extra week's vacation, or if that's being a grown-up, and I should count myself lucky.

The university is taking my photo for the school brochure today. Gulp. I was told the photo shoot will cost $2 K. And yes, I will be fully clothed. :p

~ My doctor visit today was very Rosanne Rosannadanna-ish. It's always something. If it's not one thing, it's another. Looks like I've got a bit of down time coming my way.
