sex on the first date?

hey guys,

i know i may be asking the wrong people here, but does anyone out there think that sex on the first date is okay?

sure, when we were younger, and you meet someone for the first time, you go through the whole phone number, first date, kissing, etc, scenario. but as we get older, we think the world moves faster, and so time is at a premium.

at what point did we move from "Wonder Years" to "Melrose Place"? or rather, at what age should we?

never 1st date unless that is the whole reason for meeting up, but to combat the never...just take her to lunch, spend the day together then....dinner is the 2nd date adn you can go at it all night....;)

Well my take is... after kids and a marriage.. if I meet someone and we click... who counts dates? If the mood's there go with it. I know, maybe it's not proper but damn I live in a small community where most women my age are married or very occupied. If I meet somebody who's interesting and wait, there's another guy waiting to sieze the moment. So if a date lasts a weekend, we musta hit it off. Of course, there are those occasions you wake up and think.... this is just too good to be true. Those seem to be the ones who come up in a few days and say.... hubby wants to try again and it's been fun. Sigh..... win some, lose lots but it beats bein' alone.

I think it depends on the date and the person. I've done the dating thing like that and not really got any regrets, but the best thing for me is when a 'friend' becomes more, then you can do what you like and it feels ok anyway :-)

If you're meeting someone you hardly know, and it's for a 'date' then surely sex is on the agenda somewhere anyway?

no easy answer here. I have met some wonderful guys.. first date sex occurred.. a few turned out to be one time deals leaving me to wonder "What the hell was the point", and others have remained in my life and have made me a better person for it...

Communication... and honesty.... whether that be on the first date or on the 20th anniversary... is what will answer your question. :)
