No ads or pop ups? How do you run a free site?

I was just wondering that because, although I think its wonderful, I'm use to the hitch. Are we having to dial up a 900 number or such? How does this site run without any ads or pop ups and without charging us?

There are banners on the main story page. If you have any specific questions you could pm Kim. I am not sure how it works but am just grateful it does:p

Bleh. It's a Vb site. I have yet to run into one of those that isn't free. Mainly because they don't seem to be good investments. Or something. Mainly because there is very little difference between any of them...

Hmmm. Perhaps in content, at times. But in style? Not at all. All Vb messageboards sites are the same thing, and have the same problems. Topics vary, but there are always the same damn inconveniences. I have a like post number to yours at the only other one I really stayed at, Otakuboards.com, which is an Anime site, despite my loathing for Anime at all. So I am willing to stay at a site. I'm just commenting on the lack of originality inherent in Vb coding.
