1. Quilting
2. Crochet
3. Researching Family History
4. Taking pics of my family and cats
5. Collecting cookbooks and recipes
6. Knitting

ok, no one else has mentioned this hobby, I am diehard NASCAR fan. Of course Jeff Gordon is my all time favorite driver. And the tattoo pics that have been posted are awsome. I have 3 of them myself. When I get a digital cam I will post some pics of mine. My other hobbies are reading, baking, cooking and the biggest one of all is just spending time with the family.

I happen to know there are other peddlers in the pixie family. I was a founding member of the Keel-Haulers Canoe Club out of Elyria Ohio.

Being an old bull, I’ve walked over a number of hills and have had a few hobbies that I just dabble with now.

I did a lot of wilderness camping at one time. Now primitive camping is the “assigned plot” without the electric hook-up and shower:confused:.

Think I was one of the last certified “two-hose” SCUBA divers. The Great Lakes aren’t the most interesting place for diving unless you’re doing research. Wreck diving is too expensive and ice diving was too dangerous for somebody with a young family at the time. But I enjoyed the hell out of it:).

I can use an 8” telescope with an equatorial mount that isn’t motor driven or computer controlled. Hubble gets me better pictures than I ever took and are so available now with our internet. Getting harder to find sky that’s not ambient light washed but I still drag it out once in a while;).

I use to expose a LOT of film and even got luck a few times taking some prizes in photo competitions. Lost interest after loosing a camera bag with two Nikon bodies and half dozen Nikore lenses:mad:. When the bitter taste started to fade, digital was getting to be real and have enjoyed this because of the dark room capabilities without the space and high costs.

I took my son to play paintball for his birthday once and ended up owning one of the better fields for 6 years. Had 4-1/2 acres of old factory property where we had “Urban Paintball” games that drew players from 5 states on a regular basis. Once it becomes a business you don’t get to play. You can see I have to be careful what I get interested in:rolleyes:.

I guess the age is starting to show as now my main hobbies are fly fishing and shooting some 9-ball when I have a chance:cool:.
And of course Pixies.

That’s all for now. It’s so hard to be serous.:D

Surfing for porn takes up most of my time now...
But before I had a computer, and before family obligations demanded I give it up, you could find me gettin high on Testor's paints & glue, recreating scale models of my favorite classic cars...sadly, the results are here, collecting dust in the basement...

My hobby is collecting Barbie dolls! Between my ex's in Mississippi and up here, I have over 200 never removed from mint box dolls. I mainly collect the cheaper dolls, 25$- and below. I do have many of the Happy Holiday Barbies, not '88, which is worth over 1,000$. That was my one shopping regret. I had the doll in my hand then was called away and I put her down. <still have the marks from kicking myself for doing that LOL>.

Cool thread. If I sort my dolls and have the cam on, i will take a pic of all the boxes of dolls I have.

I have many hobbies including playing online cribbage and a few other games but my biggest hobbies include outdoor photography and floral crafts. Since I couldn't decide which outdoor photo I liked best I will post a pic of one of the birdcages I've done. I don't have one for myself as I have either given them to charities for fund raisers or as gifts to family and friends *LOL*

Loved your pic too, dicksbro, and yours too, Sassy Rose!

Speaking of sunrises....when I was visiting Murphy I was able to use his computer when he was at work. His computer desk is in his loft and there are 2 windows that face East right in front of the desk. A few mornings I was at his computer and watched the most gorgeous sunrises over the Ozarks! Simply breathtaking!!

You really want to know about my hobbies?? Where do I start? Well.... I suppose apart from sex....lol.

But my biggest hobby, if you can call it that, is this gorgeous little thing, who is the only "man" who has never disappointed me:

beside Pixies is herb gardening but with all the rain the gardens are a wreck. So I will share my other gardening love which is water gardens. I have had as many as 3 at one time before different sizes and styles. The up keep can be hell and the owl kept eating all the fish from the big pond so I have settled for a tiny one in the front for now... I am still working on it.. I have slate pieces to cover the edges of the plastic liner but it has been too hot here to be that ambitious. My wife also knew the person and helped me get "our" section put together. He loved the quilt and treasured it dearly. Quilt making is a great hobby and homemade quilts can truly be a special gift!

I have to say this is one diverse group of folks here at Pixies!

I have different hobbies depending on the season:

Winter - Skiing (Nordic, Alpine and best of all Telemark), snowshoeing, Winter Mountaineering and Winter Camping (No Bugs and NO people, the way camping should be!) and of course lots of generating heat with the one I love!

Summer - Cycling (unmotorized), hiking, climbing, sailing, kayaking and thanks to my dad, Auto Racing (participating not watching)

Barrel racing normally, but if i'm in the mood I do bullride. :D Another one of my hobbies is rebuilding motors for my trucks I restore. A 79 Ford F-250 4x4, it was the first one i actually rebuilt...a 460 v-8 (which i'm very proud of). It's my baby, i did put a lift under it (9 inches with 18x44 mudders) when i get the time i take it to mudslings and win money off of it. Another hobby would be motorcross, i have a four wheeler that i used to race professionally, but got out of that and mostly trail ride up in the woods mostly. Love to hunt and fish to! That about wraps it up i think......lol :p

Baskets, wreaths, little scented sleep pillows, door hangers etc.

I also make up gift baskets and make quilted albums for special
occassions. (I never could spell that correctly)

I also write children's stories and High Fantasy stories.

Fantasy as in ---Dragons, magic, fairies etc.
(considering where I'm posting this , I felt it best to clarify that.

I'm also beginning to get into writing erotic stories, but more on
the romantic side.

Thanks for asking!!!!!

Before my 2nd child was born, I made stained glass windows, painted Norwegian rosemaling, cross-stitched, and collected wild edible plants (a good excuse to be outdoors and in the woods). Didn't have a chance to do much of anything once she came along. I also read everything nonfiction that I could get my hands on. Today I still read all the time; my favorite area to read and apply is Myers-Briggs personality theory. Oh, and I used to collect old cartoons on VHS, none older than mid to late '50s.

This is how I spent my New Year's Eve. An online group I belong to did this project together beginning at 9 a.m. on NYE. We had no idea what it would look like ahead of time. We got partial instructions in advance and then every hour one more bit of instruction was posted until we got the final "clue" and put it all together.

Lilith, thanks. :D I just use a latex crafter's paint. nothing fancy. I usually dilute them about 50% with water so that you can tell it's real wood underneath. Occassionally, I'll coat them with a VERY diluted burnt umber paint to give them an aged look.

Reading and going to the gym mostly. I also (occasionally) perform Indian (dots, not feathers) classical dance and play jazz trombone.

I love to read and do that most of the time but my main hobby is re-enactment of the English Civil War, I am an officer in y regiment have been doing it for 18 years. I have even been over to the USA to re-enact an actual English Civil War related battler that took place in Annapolis. Heres a link to me in costume at a small event. The pic was taken a couple of years ago before I lost some weight.

i've rediscovered counted cross stitch. my mom taught me how to do it back in elementary school when she was working for a well known artist. in the past couple of months, i've made 1.5 christmas presents along with 2 pictures for myself to hang on the wall and have another one i want to do that goes along with that series. i loooove to read (it's great having to read the first 15 min of every class every friday at work), sleep, talk, hang out with my friends when i get a chance, watch movies when i can stay awake and trying to keep myself sane at the moment.
