I got chase by a huge snake in my dream after I bought a windmill that I hang near my window.(Hope I spelt it right) I don't always have nightmare so this really freak me out and I just throw that away. Well... in some chinese saying, some windmill actually attract spirit to you. I don't really know how true it is but damn... that really scare the hell out of me. :(

Actually some places they sell dream-maker. (Well... thats what they call it.) They suppose to give you sweet dreams when you hang it above your bed. Maybe Randy you can look for it and buy it :)

I live in an area where the "native americans"...oh hell, the Indians make dreamcatchers!
Good idea...I'll have to look for one. :)

Thanks.

Your dream sounds positively creepy! Snakes are NOT my favorite critter...*shiver*

Well I have a recurring nightmare about the time I was gang raped by a group of older airman appretices when I was 16.

I always try to get away and get punched and kicked and have my trousers ripped off and am held down over a chair, there is more but I wont describe it, I always wake up in a sweat and screaming.

I have worked with therapists for years and have never gotten rid of this nightmare. It comes and goes with irregularity.

You never ever forget being sexually abused you just learn to live with it as comfortably as you can. It is why any sort of violence or restraint is not a part of sexual pleasure to me.

I find it very difficult to tell anyone face to face about this but I can type about it and give other people the perspective of the victim. Especially at pixies where i know the people are special and caring.

Kyttn and GG

I'm lucky that my nightmares are just a means of exploring my fears.

It is made better by the fact I don't remember the detail.

You are both dealing with things beyond my experience and doing it

in your own time.

You have my admiration.

I hate it when my stress level totally tops out. I have this recurring nightmare in which I'm trapped in car upside underwater. I'm always alone unable to breathe. It's been like that since I was in the fourth grade. I almost died at a pool party.

Whenever I am under stress, I have a re-ocurring, ongoing nightmare. It started when I was 10, right after my grandfather died (we were very close) I dreamed this guy in a business suite, mirrored glasses, driving a luxury type car ( I think it's a buick... a sedan) anyway, I dreamed he cut my Poppa up, and showed me the remains.
Since then, he has killed everyone in my family but me and my father. We are always running from him, and trying to hide. I have had these sequential dreams about 10 or 12 times now.
They seem SOOO real, and I wake terrified! It freaks me out for the whole day after I have one.

I should mention that only my siblings and parents, and grandfather are a part of the dreams. In then, I never even wonder about Twisted and the kids. Maybe they don't exist in the dream??..... dreams are fascinating, aren't they?

Some say that your nightmares are fighting personal demons of some sort.

Well for me, I have nightmares whenever I sleep. Mine are of me constantly fighting demons, and not the type that therapist talk about, but actual demons. There have even been times when I have woken and have scratches or cuts that were results of these battles. The only time that I don't have these nightmares are when I am sleeping a person. It seems that I than drift into that persons dreams.

Grumble... Sorry to hear of your occurence. And I hope that one day you can overcome your nightmare.

Bama.... I am also sorry to hear of your situation. It is not good when a gorgeous women like yourself has the reactions that you do when you are around a male.

...I don't really have nightmares, at least not many that I can remember, but I do have a very disturbing recurring dream...I'm some form of warrior, a celt possibly, on one side of an army with the opposing force on the other side of a broad field...there are a few moments of perfect calm and the detail is crystal clear...I can see the other men's breath steaming in the air, the sunlight on blades...and then there's a tremendous roar and the two armies are running together and with this god-awful crunch, they come together...now I'm in the thick of it, and everything seems so brutally real...men are being dismembered, surrounded by the groaning and weeping of the dying...I can see faces that I can almost recognize, people I know falling beside me...and just as battle reaches it's peak, I'm about to turn around, and I'm speared through the back...I look down and I watch the spearhead explode through my belly...this is usually the point were I wake up...I don't find it scary, but I deffinately feel shock and find the whole experience very disturbing...that's usually the end of sleep for me for a night...

Wow, I guess I should thank God I don't remember most of my dreams... for many years I wasn't able to dream due to untreated sleep apnea (sleep interupted because my breathing was blocked by the soft pallet), never got the deep REM dream sleep I needed. The only nightmares I ever remember are the old standard feels-like-I'm-falling-awake-with-a-start variety, maybe due to my one big phobia, fear of heights... ah, to sleep, perchance to dream... OF can tell ya where that came from...

Well by now there is no hiding that I am a freak..........I do not dream, ever, with the exception of a death dream. My entire family past and present day and even future are all seated at a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng table then there is some sort of ruckus that causes a stampede. Everyone jumps up and begins running towards the door, down a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng hall with black and white marble checkered floors. Well as my family runs, all mixed up and scattered, tiles in the floor open and one by one people drop through them. Ok, now here is the freaky part...........in my dream the people drop through in the order they have died.......including the one who is next to die.... the rest of us get out of the house and run through a field of tall wire grass til we come upon an old wooden circus trailer and are somehow considered safe. I have this dream within 6 months of the person's death, always............I know psycho:p

Kidding...JUST kidding! That really IS odd though...JUST a death dream and no others!! Weird......

I think I would go completely psycho knowing what was coming, Lilith... now I have to ask... do you ever share this knowledge with anyone in the family, before or after the fact?

RandyGal
06-05-2002, 10:24 PM
I agree...that would be terribly difficult information to have and NOT be able to share it with someone....

i used to have a couple of wierd ones.

The first and a lot of years ago.... i used to dream about being bitten by a bat, that had rabies. it used to bite me in the same place (on my hand) everytime. i now have a scar there but i never remember actually cutting my hand in that place!!

The other comes and goes. I cant remember much about the dream except that i am fighting some big thing that is evil. I have to win if i lose then i will become evil too.

Very strange that one cause when i wake i get paranoid about things.

I think the quote comes from Robin Williams, or maybe Shakespeare.

It's amazing how the mind can put a heap of cues and clues
together and come up with some amazing insights.

hey Diva sounds liek you watched the Ghostbusters too many times when you were younger. But I would lvoe to be your marshmellow man. Would be fun chasing you and throwing goobs of marshmellow at you.

And Lilith, don't feel bad, I have had those kinds of drams all my life. Not like yours, but dreams of people dying, and usually within a month of it happening. Kinda sucks, and it seems that no matter waht you do, you can't stop it either.
