I was just wondering if there is anyone out there other than myself who is interested in the vampire mythos and think that legendary vamps such as lestat and jean claude from Anita Blake are SOOOOO sexy, anyone agree?

Rev.: guess it depends on where you got your info. many of my frinends were avid V:TM players and they used the spelling to differentiate from others.... also... lessee in the "mythology" vampyres are those who have a resistance to light rather than becoming dust like Claudia did in that pit in interview w a vamp. Well German Steve, i didn't think that Morticia Adams was a vampire, OR Lily Munster for that matter, but of course i could be wrong.

Has anybody read any of the Nightworld Books by LJ Smith.

There are some damn fine sexy vamps and lycanthropes in them books too, Ash for example.

Well my first vote goes out to Bamakyttn. Then ASH would be my second choice. But for fictional purposes I would have to say Merrick from Anne Rice's book of the same name.


And Lilith, there is a unique creature in the World of Darkness called an Abomination. It is half vampyre and half werewolf. Very fericious creatures.

As for the spelling, well it is mainly that in the old country it is spelled with the y and in the US it is spelled with an i. As well as other things that are all based on the mythos and would take a lot of time to explain.

I'd have to say my favorite vampires are the ones I play in V:TM, but if I have to do a literary one, Bram Stoker's Dracula.. just have to love the way evil is done, with that one.

VTM vamps are probably my favorites next to those from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Although if you've ever seen "The Breed" you can tell that those vamps are in a league of their own. I love sexy vamps. The way they walk, dress, and of course the biting. Ooh I could use a bite right now.

Accroding to Vampire the Masquerade there are 13 different "Clans" of vampyres. Of those 13, only 7 are descendants of the first vmapyre... Caine! Vlad Tepes, Dracula, is actually listed with the clan Tzmisce. I could get into an entire history lesson based on this, but that would take too long.

But as for myself, I have been studying the Vampyre for as long as I can remember. It is a very intricate part of my culture.

I, too, have studied up on all things Vampyric, Wiccian, and Occultist... And lately, I've found some things rather interesting of Vlad Dracul and his son Dracula. :)
