I don't have an answer for you, anythinggoes. But I can definately vouch for the phenomenon....British accents have always slayed me. A fact that is particularly problematic, now that I live here ;).

And for the record...I find it a crying shame that it doesn't work in reverse!!

I used to be really attracted to British accents. I thought they sounded so sophisticated and refined. Numerous hours of Britcoms and one trip to England later... It ain't so hot! It's sounds kinda countryish to me now.

I still love a good Irish accent. Perhaps I need to stay away from Ireland then. lol!

Not sure I've ever heard a S.Western U.S. accent...... even on TV!! The only one I've heard in "Real Life" is my friend who comes from Virginia...... but I bet I'd find your accent PLENTY sexy Ginger!! :D
