Hi everyone. For one of my computer classes I was given an assignment to make a website. So I chose to make a porn site. I have until the end of the semester to have it completed and turned in and I was wondering if I could have a few people check it out and give me suggestions and comments. Now I am going to give a disclaimer (per the teacher) any and all material was either mine, meaning i purchased the pictures, or I downloaded it off other websites. Also, if you take any offense to porn, HA, then please do not go or ask for the address. Umm, well shoot, should I just put the address here? HMMMMMM....well I will just put it here. Thanks for all of your help. Welcome to My World (http://www.angelfire.com/nv2/niceandnaughty)
**just a few quick notes....I did not put any vulgar language on the website so that it is not detected in any search engines, the teacher did not want the vulgar language, and for people who have firewalls. thanks again!!!!
Not Bad... I really liked the pic of the day!! ;)
The one thing I prefer on sites like yours are thumbnails...
Other than that it's a really straightforward site without a lot of flashy garbage... (and that's a good thing!) :D

:( ...I do not know how to make pictures into thumbnails....does anyone know how to do this? If so please email me. Thanks
I'm not sure, but I think there are thumbnail generators you can download.... I don't know from where though...:(
Very nice pictures, they are obviously well chosen. And as Aquaman said, the lack of banners and pop-ups makes the site an absolute joy. I don't mind the lack of thumbnails, because I have a cable modem, but to others they would be a definite asset. I suggest you add some stories, they are almost always my favorite item.

P.S. i did not understand the title of the category, "both pictures" am i missing something?

by me putting both pictures up there, it meant both sexes, but in order for me to get away with my assignmne tbeing a porn site i had to leave out such words as:"Lesbian, cock, vagina, sex, (insert favorite sexual word here)". sorry...its kind of low key and pristine. but hopefully i will get an a...thanks

Very nice work!!!
I do web-site development myself, as one of a number of part-time jobs, and experience is a wonderful teacher. I thought I'd share a few points, since you asked for constructive criticism --- but none of these should be read as a you-must-do-this order, just as a what-if-you-did-this pondering! So, the comments:
1) I'm with Aquaman on the thumbnails --- those pages with just the 'page1/page 2/page 3' links on them are dead air time in terms of keeping your audience interested. To make them: some photo-manipulation software and some web-creation software will actually do them for you automatically, but if not, it's really easy to do manually. Just open each image, save a copy, and then shrink that copy to a smaller size. (Decide on a size that will give people an idea of what they're getting, but not be so large that the page takes years to load. That size will depend on how many thumbnails you want to put on each page.) Then you make a separate page for each image or set of images, and link from the thumbnails to the pages with the larger pics. It'll take a while to slog through at first, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty mindless and goes quickly... Your viewers will definitely appreciate it!
2) Typo on the front page: it's "category", not "catergory"...
3) Perhaps "uniform" isn't the right word for the pics you put in that section --- I was expecting unifroms like nurses/doctors/firefighters/police/etc. Maybe a word like "costume" would express the idea that these are pics of people dressing up and playing roles a little more clearly...? Alternatively, see comment #4, and consider putting a brief description of the contents of each section, rather than just the title.
4) Okay, so I'm not a porn site expert. But to me, a few words or a title for each picture would be helpful, particularly with the 'famous faces' section --- then, if you were really ambitious, or wanted to really go for the high marks, you could put in some kind of search function so that users could search for certain key words in those descriptions.
5) The "Welcome to my World" title could be made into a graphic (a .jpg is best), which would in turn give you a visual theme to run through the site. Then (again, for extra credit) you could take some graphic element from that title image, and use it for your "back" and "next" links --- if you want a clearer idea of what I'm talking about, PM me and I'll give you the URL of my personal web-site (which, incidentally, has no sexual content whatsoever --- it's about cooking) so you can see what I've done there. I find that the visual theme is very important in making the whole site feel like a single place, and in separating it from outside sites...
6) Wow, you're brave!!! I can't imagine doing a porn site for one of my school projects!!! You have a very open-minded prof, obviously, and a lot of courage for taking risks with your assignments! I'm impressed!!!
7) Keep up the good work, and let us know of any updates you make! I'm sure you'll find lots of willing "lab-rats" to test your creation on... :D

Very impressive! Loved your site added it to my favorites
Thanks Red
ty for the explanation, and I think sugarfree made some excellent suggestions....and managed to do so without being preachy!!!
I suggest perhaps, "both genders" as a title for your "both pictures" category to evade the censors.

P.S. good luck on the grade, I give you an 'A+'

Very nice site Nurse Traci. I have to agree with Aquaman and SFC on a couple of things. I have made a few web pages for friends to advertise their businesses. A couple of them are strippers, so I can understand the frustration of trying to get adult content passed by a teacher. If you use thumbnails, you can add more pics to each page.
Also, changing the title to the pages will help get people to look at certain things. So for instance "Famous Faces" someone might think Celebrities, you could try "Adult Famous Faces", and instead of "Uniforms" go with "Costumes".
And if you decide to add a story page, I would gladly donate a couple of my stories to help you out.
Otherwise, a very nice page with very nice pics on it.

Web developer here (among many other things).
mine, meaning i purchased the pictures, or I downloaded it off other websites.
Did you mean to say you went to a porn wholesaler on line and bought rights to show those pictures? Just "downloading" pictures isn't the same. I believe usually you have to have some kind of contract. Especially with the more professional pictures I haves seen in your page.
Might check into it before you get the ol legal notices :b .
Get some graphics into that page! Also start bugging your teacher about teaching some CSS. Tables are sooo gone. (and with CSS you can have layers... sweeet). Are you handcoding or using WYSIWYG?
Does Angelfire have some legal about posting nudity on their service? I thought most of these free types did.
On and is this class a university/ccollege? I have never heard of an instructor allowing this. Wow, must be a really open-minded group.

Hi Traci
A good start, the others have already offered lots of good advice so I won't overload you. I'm interested to see how it will develop so will keep checking back. Can't see a pic of you on it though :(

okay...well thanks for the legal advice. i have already checked out a few things. first off, since i am not making any money from the site i was informed that if any of the models saw their pictures on my site and were upset, i would net be legally pursued, they would ask me to remove them. as for angelfire, i looked through their codes of conduct and did not see anything. i am not harming anyone with my site and as soon as i hand in the codes and the link, it will be promptly removed. and as for your little irrelevant question as to whether it was a college or university, its a university. **if i am reported to angelfire, i will know who reported me. ;)

Traci I hate to burst your bubble, but working in a university and other places with copyright.. let me explain.
The images do not belong to the models. They initially belong to the photographer who took them (go ask the photography department-they will explain). Now the company who purchased the photo now owns them (lets say playboy). To reshow these images permission must be obtained from playboy.
I think your instructor is giving bad advice.. go ask the university copyright department and they can explain. Don't worry though, I have had plenty of instructors who are ignorant of the laws tell me things, that I found out later were illegal. The only possible way you could get away with this for any duration of time is to do it on a University computer that has a pswd to enter that site. Your instructor should have the resources to set this up. Having it this way will halp prove that you are only doing it for educational purposes, and you are not displaying it to the general audience.
As for legal notice.. here is the problem. They won't only contact you they will contact Angelfire who will take down the site right away, getting them to put it back up when they see how many other pictures you have could be a serious problem.
If Kim has time see if she can give you some more advice since this site is a sex based one. But from my experience/knowledge your asking for trouble. :(
Besides you could fill the site instead with pictures of you. Everyone likes Amateur sex sites versus "Im completly faking it..look how much they airbrushed my face" ;)

Is the object of the exercise to show you can create and
run a porn site, or to actually do it?
If the pictures are the sticking (no pun intended) point,
replace them with card faces or see if SFC will do some sketches
for you to maintain the essential eroticism.
Maybe we're focussing on the pictures and not on the site
mechanisms.

and I think everyone has covered everything pretty well so all I have to say is keep the the good work and if nurseing doesnt work out its looks like you may have a new line of work.
One thing I was dissappointed in was that I didnt see any pics of you!

You're not likely to have a copyright issue... In the first place, there are no copyright police. :) While the details given regarding copyright law are probably technically accurate, there is also an exception allowed for limited use of material for "educational purposes." (Probably what your prof is alluding to.) I'd be the last person to suggest "stealing" another's work, but given the total situation - especially the temporary nature of the site - I don't think you'll go to jail.
It would be nice if you could credit the real owner of the photos, but it would probably take you 3 years to find out who it is.
Now that I've got you relaxed, could I interest you in... :p
Seriously... not sure what your instructor is actually looking for (creativity? technical accuracy?) in grading... I did find one broken link. (on the bottom lesbianpg_1.htm). I also got confused over which index I'd go back to... the "home page" or the section index.
It sure was nice not to be asked for a credit card. :)

First Congratulations!!
I taught web design a few years back and would have been impressed if one of the students had actually taken the time to do something like what you've done.
In the sense of the teacher the only advice I would make is to clarify the "back to main page" on the third level (where the pictures actually are). I would have docked points for not going where it indicated. Maybe just put "Back."
As a web developer I would suggest consistency in your page naming like using all lowercase (Ex. bothpg_1.html). It bit me in the butt when I switched servers once. And don't pay attention to anyone that tells you how the future will be, unless it's your professor of course. Example, I was told two years ago HTML would be gone by now as a web language.
Knowing the requirements for the assignment might help you get the best feedback.
Anyway, great job on building a solid and well functioning web page!
