Serbia & Austria-Hungary went to war, quickly touching off what became the First World War (aka the Great War, the General European War, the War to end Wars, etc, etc, etc).

Hard to believe it's been 100 years.

And then of course, Russia fell in behind Serbia, Germany went to war against Russia, then France against Germany & Austro-Hungary, then England against Germany & Austria-Hungary. The whole mess just went south almost from the get-go.
