Curious minds want to know...what's on your shopping list this week?

I just made my "big" monthly run this morning, and then I go for smaller (no shopping cart) runs every 2-3 days for the fresh stuff/immediate meals.

There are several things ALWAYS in my 'fridge, including:
* Red bell peppers
* Serrano pepper and/or jalapeno
* Almond milk
* Fage greek yogurt (plain)
* Avocado

What are your favorites?

Well because we are under a state of emergency due to the upcoming weather. Yes, we in Georgia tend to freak out a little, so hubby made a run yesterday for bread, milk, peanut butter, and beer. :D

He also bought some frozen pizzas just in case we don't lose power but are still too lazy to really cook.

Pita, do you have a favorite brand of frozen pizza? I'm still searching for one I like.

Peppers are almost never on my list: my wife worked enough overtime a couple of years back to earn herself a bonus big enough to afford a greenhouse.

But otherwise, this time around, we have stuff for the snow, in case we lose power. Only thing we weren't able to pick up was a replacement stem for the propane to my camp stove. Ah, well.

Oh, PITA & Osuche: something that works for pizza: get a store- or name-brand garlic bread, you favorite brand of pasta sauce, some packets of shredded cheese, and toppings of your choice (for example, peppers grown in your wife's greenhouse, the actually freeze well). Fairly easy to deal with.

For pizza, I use the Pillsbury Thin Crust dough (bake it, smeared with fresh garlic and evoo), and then add toppings of my choice. But occasionally I'm too lazy for even this much work. :p

Toppings this week included tikka masala sauce, cheese, red pepper, serrano, chicken, and mushrooms. Not bad!

I make pizzas from naan too.

I love cheese. All kinds. I always have a blue, a brie, a cheddar, a swiss, some feta, moz, or goat cheese around. I go on cheese only shopping trips.

We've really gotten to love the Papa Murphy "Take and Bake" pizzas. They're made fresh; and can be frozen if you don't want to bake it as soon as you get home. Delicious!

(Of course, you've got to have a Papa Murphy's store near you for this to work. :shrug: )

gg - what else do you grow in your garden?

It's not actually "my" garden-my wife is the one who is into gardening. I'm just good at turning what she grows into all kinds of foodses.

But to answer the question more directly, she grows tomatoes (almost a requirement for gardening), green beans, lettuce & spinach, she's unsuccessfully tried pumpkins & garlic The green beans and the zebra striped tomatoes are her favorites, though.
