Starting with a 1-letter word ... I'll enter the word:
A
and then the number of letters the next entry has to be:
2.
The second person enters a two letter word, like:
IT and then a 3 for the next person telling them how many letters their word should contain. When no more words can be thought of / entered ... the person enters "I give up!" and starts over again with a one-letter word.
Might be fun ... who knows.
Okay, consider the one and two letters words done ...
Next person needs a 3-letter word!
3
Fun
Next is a 4 letter word. (Right?)

honorificabilitudini-tatibus was made famous (for some value of "famous") by Shakespeare.
28 letters, there's at least one in English.

Antidisestablishmentarianism (At first I thought this was the same as the previous post I made, but, the "...ian..." near the end accounts for the three extra letters. Didn't realize there were the two words that were so close in spelling.
29 letters anyone?

I know there's a 45-letter word in English, but I don't know if there's at least one word each between where we are now (30 letters), and that.
So, anyway, yeah, 30 letters next.
