Happy Easter to those who celebrate. My family does the chocolate bunny, colored eggs thing. More or less we just use it as an excuse to eat candy, get/give small gives, and have a really big family dinner.

It is unintuitive that Christmas gets top billing while Easter, which is essential to Christianity, plays second fiddle.

Christmas was hardly mentioned until Dickins wrote his book, opening it up to commercial exploitation. Coca Cola drove in the final nail with Santa Claus. Thank God Easter has yet to be commercialised, just as any chocolate rabbit.
