Just got home from the movie where we went to watch the film, "War Horse."
Set in WWI, it's (IOHO) one of the best movies we've seen in the last couple of years and there have been many that we've enjoyed. The story was great; the acting was great; and, while set in a "war" situation (WWI), we didn't think it seemed either gory or overdone. It's actually not a war movie per se ... rather the bond between a boy ... later man ... and his horse. Well worth going to.
Wife and I gave it two thumbs up and so I guess that means it gets a four-thumbs up rating from us. :thumbs::thumbs:
Actually, we wouldn't recommend it for very young children because of the war scenes.
