Never thought i would see a list of tips for cheaters...

http://nostringsattached.com/go/page/cheating_tips_main.html?

1.Use NoStringsAttached to exchange email, rather than on a personal account.

2.Chat on the phone via Private Call, which uses untraceable numbers. (U.S. only)

3.Get Private Call Now!

4.Before you make contact, check out a member's complete profile, since it will help you determine chemistry.

5.Ask to see a current photo before agreeing to meet in person. (VIP members can see all public photos posted by other members.)

Make it easy for prospective mates to view your entire profile by subscribing to Open the Door, which also enables them to email you for free!

6.If an appealing member winks at you, wink back! Or, better yet, send a personalized email, one that shows you've reviewed their full profile.

First contacts are usually made via email so make sure yours are appealing. List common interests and try to get a reply by ending with a good question.

VIP memberships show that you have money to invest in a relationship, plus they give you access to complete member profiles and full email privileges.

7.Find the closest, most appropriate members by using the "priority" form, which has advanced search options.
Purchase account highlights so your search listing and emails stand out from others that are pursuing the most sought-after members.

8.Consider getting a second cell phone, keeping it in a secret location, and muting the ringer when not expecting a call.
If you want to keep a relationship secret, then consider dating only married people, since they're especially motivated to be discreet.

9.An affair is less likely to be discovered if it's with someone your spouse does not know.

10.Avoid running into people your spouse knows by taking your mate to different restaurants, clubs, etc.

11.If you're going to get physical, take a shower afterwards so there is no lingering scent of a lover.

12.Keep a change of clothes in your car's trunk - perhaps exercise attire in a gym bag - in case your clothing smells of cologne or has lipstick on it.
After seeing your mate, check your car and clothing to ensure they're free from incriminating items - like condoms, or a note with a name and phone number.

13.Do not arouse suspicions by neglecting your spouse. Also, keep your routine normal and come home at a reasonable hour.

14.Remember that the best way to keep a secret is not to tell anyone about it.

It's pretty much a spam intro to a site that is designed for cheaters.

You could do those 14 steps. Or, you know, you could have an honest conversation with your partner about your needs, their needs, and how all can be accommodated in a safe, considerate, ethical manner, and go from there, with both halves of the couple making informed decisions. It's always baffling to me how some people can get their minds around cheating with so little difficulty, but being poly is just too bizarre to consider because it defiles the "sanctity" of monogamy. I suppose it's because it requires you to be a grown-up and be responsible for your crap and considerate of others.

ETA: I'm not saying there's anything wrong with monogamy; but if one partner decides they're not going to be monogamous, they owe it to the other to give them a heads-up beforehand, so that that person can decide if they want to be in that kind of relationship. Opening your marriage without all principals involved knowing it's open is an asshole move.

Lil...I noticed that too...was more focused on the list of tips.

AZ...I also agree with you. If your open with your SO then no one will get to hurt when it is done behind your back. Plus might be something they want and just never had the guts to tell the other person due to worried bout what the reaction would be.

Been there Done that....even got a tee shirt.
