What were the 3 most significant events in your life that occurred during 2010?

Chronological order for the year:
1. My mother died.
2. I ended up needing neurosurgery.
3. My girlfriend finished her back-to-college courses, and graduated.

My grandfather died.

I had to find a new job (and the new one kicks ass!)

I was able to go on several motorcycle rides with a group of great people that includes some family.

1) A major promotion at work and the lifechanging implications.

2) My wife's grandmother, 104 years old, the matriarch of her family, passing away.

3) Our trip to Japan.

1) Back went out again, still working on what's going to be done about it
2) My depression got worse again (and resulted in a 2 day stay in a psych ward)
3) Had a friend come and stay for abit, til she could move into a neighboring apartment

Yeah, for the most part, 2010 sucked for me, but things are being worked on so I will hopefully have a btter 2011

Strangely, nothing of significance happened to me this year. SSDY.

Last year, OTOH, whipsawed me so much, I say I was entitled to a year off.

Daughter and I moved into an apartment. (Should be named the After Party Apartments)

Daughter was sick a lot. (Cost me a bundle.)

Decided to change states in 2011. (Might end up going with nothing but leaving no mater what.)

Some good ... some sad this year.

Sad, the loss of our oldest grandson. :(

Joyful, the birth of our new grand-daughter. :)

Special. Renting the guesthouse at Allerton Park for two days for our 47th Anniversary.

My daughter moving out and giving me, and her father, the most heartbreaking stress and worry imaginable. I'm afraid she will continue into this year, although my prayers are said daily for divine intervention.

My decision to change careers and remain in the city we have grown to love.

Our trip this summer to D.C. to view the wonderful wedding of my boyfriend's son and his lovely bride. I also got to meet the ex-wife, which went OK considering she only said two words to me in four days.

Upon further review, I must blocked out the Great Nashville Flood of 2010. Easily counts as items 1, 2, & 3 on my significant events.

Seriously, 7 months later, reverberations are still being felt. Pixies who attended PAGANashville might be shocked at the number of sites they saw that have been permanently changed.

You might be better off just having someone get you off than getting off the world. What would pixies be like without our Fangy friend? It's a scary thought.

Dear God, my prayer for 2011 is for a fat bank account & a thin body.

Please don't mix these up like you did last year.

AMEN!!

Can I have more than 3?

1. One of my "adopted" moms, my best friend's mom dying on Easter. She and my youngest son shared the same birthday and she loved him to bits.

2. Mayhem and I found our dream home that we didn't know we were looking for right across the road from our house. The rollercoaster ride to buy the dream house spanned from April to July. Dream home is a converted school with seven bedrooms three bathrooms two livingrooms formal dining room on a 300×300 yard city block. All this for dirt cheap as we live in a town with only 40 occupied houses.

3. The baby girl who didn't want to come out. Seriously. She was 2 weeks and 2 days overdue, and those last two days were me in unmedicated labor (44.5hrs) which resulted in a c-section. HOWEVER, little girl who did not want to come out, genuinely smiled before she was a full day old and has been the smiliest happiest contentest baby, a real joy :)

4. The move to dream home started happening two weeks after baby girl was born, and although just across the street was the longest move ever as Mayhem had to work and some evenings didn't get home until 7, I was weight restricted as I just had major surgery.

5. Mayhem found a new better job, and in the same week the company that hired him, pulled a contract and he was jobless. Thankgoodness for our savings.

6. Mayhem found a part time job being a model. Yes a model :) I knew I landed me a sexy hunka hunka!

7. My 87 year old spitfire no holds brilliant grandma was diagnosed with Alzheimers. Thus resulting in my parents selling their longtime home 6 hours drive away and moving to a rental 6 minutes away from Grandpa & Grandma's.

8. Mayhem found a new full time job in a nice work envirionment, and he is so happy to go to work.

Whew! What a year!
