I went for about a year without sex after Bama and I broke up. I'll probably go for quite awhile before I have sex again. Right now I'm sitting at about 2-3 months without. Course, I haven't abstained from masturbation.

I went for about 3-4 days of no masturbation before the last time I had sex. It made first contact a little sweeter. Not sure about what a reasonable time would be. The longest I went, that I remember, was about 3 weeks while my (soon to be ex) wife was recovering from surgery and couldn't have sex. I didn't masturbate in that time period either.

Im having a break right now, its been about 2 months since i last got my leg over. The reasons simple enough, im working away from home so don't get to see the missus much.
Before that was when i was single, i purposefully spent about 9-10 months abstaining from sex/masturbation, well the lack of sex was because i was single lol. I was 28 then, and into lifting weights and cyber sex :).
I got really turned on by the cybersex but purposefully never masturbated. It fealt good to have control over myself and my urges. And no, i wasn't punishing myself for anything lol.

I went for 4 and a half years because my partner at the time had a stroke and temporarily lost interest in sex. As well as that, I was too exhausted looking after him and my daughter to care.
