What to do? What to do?

I've been telling all you folks that the event of the year was coming up and that I was going to be the envy of every capable person on the planet this weekend.:cheerlead Well it's here and the forces of evil have conspired to keep me away.:( The festival is a weekend event and officially starts later today. :D We know nature is pissed at us for what we have done to the world and with a long term plan, had given me a physiological comfort zone for cool temperatures, while knowing that high temps will hurt me physically in a real way. SO,… this weekend is going to be our hottest of the year so far. Today is going to be 87F (30C), tomorrow 92F (34C). I believe this was a life long plot to keep me away this weekend by Mother Nature. :hair:

My own spawn are part of this evil plot as well.:tear: Months ago the high school graduation party for my oldest granddaughter was purposely scheduled for tomorrow. Not only that but this was all planned for Fathers Day weekend and my brainwashed kids have planned a gathering of their own claiming ignorance of the colorful event that is a mere 30 miles away. :banghead:

Well I've decided I'm going to the opening anyway, even if I can't be there for the grand parade tomorrow morning. I hope to be back later with pics for all to drool over. I am putting a note in my camera bag, that if I parish, the pics in the camera are to be posted here so my friends can at least share the colorful event.

Well I survived, ……………. barely.http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-fc/sweat.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) I don't know who is posting for you people in those over 90F (32C) temp because all of you have to be dead.:faint:

Now, please don't hate me because I live next to the Guru's Mecca. So it was 40 miles (maybe JUST a little more:rolleyes: ), like Hercules through the 7 tests, I traveled over the pavements of flame to set down in the fiery parking field of hell. But yes, the guardian of the gate let me pass into the land of wonder to celebrate the gift (http://www.avonducttapefestival.com/) of all cures for mankind.

I knew I had arrived when I saw the signs made of the magical material. The guard (with his vest made of the magical material) motioned me through the gate. Right behind me charged a steed from the same land of magic. I knew I was there.

Yes, the wonderment never ended. I found great works of art, sculptures to rival the masters, all needs provided, ....

With this years theme being 'Peace and Love' I thought about going in drag, ……..but figured I'd be less conspicuous as my true nature. Besides, I don't feel right 2 dimensionally.

The army of helpers was working hard to supply the magical material in all forms to meet any need. For the less imaginative they even supplied makings in a form ready to provide for your happiness.

There was samplings for the fashion conscious to met all occasions including the most formal.

What ever your interest, it could be materialized as with this example for our own Zoidman, and as one of the first 500 arrivals, I was give some of the magical material to assure a safe return regardless of the hazards.

Yes, my visit to the land of supply and inspiration was worth the perils of travel.

I know! I know!

It's a little overwhelming to think of someone living so close to the place where 'the handyman's secret weapon' is made, but remember after all the trials and tribulations, sometimes the gods smile on us.:) All you Pixies can just tell everybody that you have a friend that lives close to the Duck Tape factory. Just don't say it too loudly or you could be trampled to death.
