Some Sad News from Lixy

I received an email from Lixy indicating that her beloved sister passed away this morning at 5:05. She passed peacefully with several of her family beside her and more that had seen her very recently. As Lixy said, and we hope, her sister is now experiencing that peaceful rest in that better place.

Please join me in sharing with Lixy, her husband, and her family our deepest sympathy and love. It is certainly my wife's and my hope and prayer and with great confidence that Lixy is right and her sister has rejoined the Father and is sharing in joy with our gracious Lord and that in His love, comfort will rest on the whole family.

Words always fail me at times like this, but I can't let this go without comment. I recall some of the painful details of sis' slow deterioration, & I know that those "long goodbyes" are the worst...and I know that only now, can the family start closing this chapter & move on. I also recall that Lixy is atheistic & proud of it (& I've reached the point where the same old answers don't work for me anymore), so I won't be sending her any prayers etc., but I am wishing for her strength & good thoughts in her dark hours...

As I recall, Lixy had to bury another sibling a couple of years ago; this is getting to be too much of a habit. :mad:

Just heard from Lixy. I think things are going pretty well for them except hubby still isn't back to work and so the holidays are more restrained than usual. I'd hoped he'd be back to work in October and so I was a bit surprised he was still off work. More reason to keep the good wishes and prayers going for them!
