This may be the most beautiful version of TAPS I've ever heard ... and it's being played by a 13-year old girl from Masstriecht in the Netherlands. Her name is Melissa Venema and she's playing with maestro Andre Rieu. It's the full rendition of the music that's acturally named Il Silenzio and it was played in honor of all military veterans in 2008. The city officials sealed off the town square and closed everything down so they could get perfect noise control.

Hope you enjoy:

You are very welcome PF. I hadn't realized Taps was a derivation of the music called Il Silenzio. It's a gorgeous piece and that young lady did a masterful job of playing that trumpet to perfection. Definitely a two thumbs up performance IMHO.

That song has always given me chills, but never like this. Absolutely gorgeous.
