Who needs to say anything?
Wingnuts of both nationalities get a skinful and, having been ejected from a meatmarket without scoring a girl, decide to display their virility in the second most common way.
The fact that the US military is largely dry, and what they do drink is lower in alcohol than Oz beer, wouldn't have helped.

I think it's part a cultural issue. Probably not a good idea to put GI's at a place call "Duck's Nuts end", then have police show up with a cartoon kangaroo on their badge to break up a fight.

Duck's Nuts sounds like a happening spot.

It is. Duck's has a great Vodka Bar and a few good bands.
It is across the road from a flesh pot called Discovery, a carnal cavern of alcoholic excess and excessive noise. It has a wonderful event called "Tits Out Tuesday".

Sounds like the pub down the road from us. They have a naughty raffle night. Done by a stripper, way past her prime! She must have worked on the Cross back in the 70's.

PERFECT! :line:
Just add GI's and the keystone cops. I wonder why a fight broke out there?

I hope that meant "at the Cross".
Girls need to work somewhere, and it's probably warmer than a corner on Williams Street.

About 1,500 soldiers from the US and Australia are currently in Darwin as part of Exercise Talisman Sabre.
It's aimed at improving combat readiness, and operational and tactical interoperability
Combat readiness - check
Operational and tactical interoperability - not so much :argue:

The local boys, military and non, know the eleventh commandment, "Thou shalt not fuck with the local Police". To take on a cop, especially by surprise from behind, is unlikely to be constructive. "KIng hit" is the equivalent of "cold cocked".

Thanks for explaining that little colloquialism, I thought it was typo till I saw it for the 3rd time
Young men with a lot of adolescent in them + combat training + strong alcohol usually equals lots of Commandments going right down the crapper...

In the Ice Bar of Duck's Nuts it only takes a broken zipper to be cold cocked.
