Former President Corazon Aquino, whose "people power" revolution swept dictator Ferdinand Marcos from power in the Philippines, died today. She was 76 years old.
She was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986 and received several awards and citations for her work to promote democracy and human rights.
