Discounts!

I know that there are many,but I thought that I would mention this because I didn't know about it & I imagine that I'm not the only one!My nieghbor does
construction & remodeling for a living.He also constructs custom homes,so he
has MANY conections in that field.We recently hired him to reshingle our
garage roof & anything else that needed to be done to it.I went with him to
LOWES to get the materials neccessary.When we went to check out with the
shingles,nails,felt,edge borders,etc,he told the checker at LOWES that I was
a veteran & wanted the veteran discount.It is 10% & I didn't even know about it.I spent a small fortune at the LOWES in Fla on landscaping timbers,
mulch,anti-weed paper,gutters,etc.I wish that I knew about it then!It doesn't
cost anything to ck on a discount.All that they can do is say Yes or No.At my
older age,I'm also finding that many places offer Senior Discounts.It's also not
always at the same age!I even found one that used the age of 50!With the
situation that our finances are in,I thought that this might save someone
some money. Irish :)

I ask for Teacher Discount on stuff I use for school. Many theme parks do Vet and state worker discounts too.

Discounts also,sometimes,are at the discretion of the manager,of the outlet,of
a chain retailer.We always ask,& get,a Senior discount at the Dun kin Donuts,
down the street from us.My wife was recently,at the one in the next town.
When she asked for the Senior discount,she was told that the manager,of that outlet,did not allow them. Irish :banghead:
