If the A-Bomb Hadn't worked I might have been just a fleck of DNA on some beach in Okinawa Japan

Well before the A-bomb, there were many thousands of flecks of DNA left on the beaches of Normandy, the actual D-Day.

Lest we forget the ultimate price these brave men gave for us.....

if my existence could only be because of the demise of tens of thousands of my fellow humans and the poisoning of the hundreds of thousands more, i'd feel pretty conflicted myself. a sad day for earthlings. war is hell for us all.

Yet where is the outrage over Iran, N Korea or the empathy for out Pacific theater vets Need I mention Pearl Harbor Iwo Jima, Pusan Perimeter, the Batan Death, March, Midway, and The Tet Offensive..... and all the other Pacific Battles that took place ...... All I'm saying is the genie is out of the bottle Let's honor all our vets Yes I realized I spanned 3 Wars

Four wars, themi01, or should that be five? The "Police Action" doesn't wash for Korea and Vietnam any more. ( WW2, Korea, VietNam, Gulf 1 and Gulf 2. Maybe even six with Afghanistan.)

wyndhy, we are here because a particular group won conflicts all the way back to Alley-Oop. Nothing we can do about it, so work on making future generations nicer people.
