I consider myself of Celtic descent, on my father's side at least. My father's family is from Brittany; our name has only been in North America since 1902.

My mother's side is French as well, but we don't know from which part of France my great great great great great great great great grandfather would have been.

Made in America with Irish and German parts.

Grandson is 6th generation Cleveland west side Irish descendent from county Roscommon in Connacht province.

When my ancestors got to Ellis Is, they loved the crime and poverty but it wasn't cold enough so they came to Cleveland.

I am, but it's so many generations back that it's hard to keep track ... my genealogy shows that I'm descended from all of the true kings of Scotland and then the line married into the Saxon/Brittish?? royal line .... course the family immigrated with the first groups of settlers in the 1500's, so I'm not really sure I can be considered Celtic .... :)

I'm descended from the bastard daughter of a french nobleman waaaay back on my fathers side, my mother was an Abernathy (which belies scots i believe) whereas my last name seems to have scandinavian roots, hence my pale skin and my fathers strawberry blonde hair. i dunno what my true hair colour is i've kept it dyed since i was at least 15, and i keep it a dark auburn, looks fairly natural since im so fucking pale and i have a temper like my father, takes a bit to piss me off, but when i blow my lid i tend to black out and not realize what im doing. almost punched my mom that way when I was 17. but i cool down easily and dont hold grudges.

So funny .... if there's any royal blood left ... it isn't much more than a drop or two ... and the last true connection was on the wrong side of the blanket! :D

Apparently I am descended from the bastard of a French seigneur, but that's not quite royalty... ;)

Like so many in the American South, I have deep Scots-Irish roots, & in my youth, had bright copper-red hair & freckles (from mother's side) to prove it. Father's side, mostly English (one of those -ham suffix names, for anyone who cares) with probably some Scots-Irish in the mix. Just to keep things confused, there's a family tree that states Miles Standish as an ancestor, but I'm skeptical about that one. Even more confusing is a story about an ancestor christened Michael Goodknight by one of the French monarchs, but I'm real fuzzy about whether that meant French ancestry, or if he was just an honored visitor that headed back to the Emerald Isle after that.

Scottish and English, with not much else because we didn't have the European influx the States did, at least not back then.

Of course, it's not like there were tough immigration standards in the early days as a prison island
