I wish. Though I hear biketober fest is more enjoyable. Either way, if I go anywhere this year it's to South Carolina. Been a few years since I've seen my mom.

Being a fan of all things leather and fun, I usually stay near Daytona but not in Daytona during those weeks.

Every year,my wife & I are in Fla,during Bike Wk.My oldest S.I.L.rents a house for a wk,with some other people that he works with(Comcast cable
installer)They trailer thier Bikes down from N.H.He usually comes to visit us,
when he's here.He's in Daytona & we're in W.Melbourne.It's only a 2.5/3 hr
ride. That may sound like alot, but when you've been riding from when you were 15 & you're almost 65(like me) it's not yery far! Irish
P.S.Anything that says 200? Daytona Bike Week costs about 3-4 times as
much.(Just like Laconia in NH)

The road kill cafe. Yes it exists.

Trailer a bike? That's blasphemy that's heresy that's.....that's......that's.....I ran out. You're right though. 3 hours is nothing on a bike.

Lord Snow---You're right!Trailering IS blasphemy! In my day that was unheard of,but in my day there were Bikers! Now there's NO Bikers, just motorcycle
enthusiasts!Once it was an adventure to ride from NH to Fla.Now it's unheard
of but I won't say what people lack now.If I based my life on "What If",I
wouldn't have done anything, just wished I had! Irish :thumb:

There are bikers just not many from the younger crowds. I am a biker. I road from Tennessee to South Carolina. Loved the trip, hated the pain in my knees from it. Part of it was the bike is a little to small for me. I have a Honda Shadow 1100c. I would love to do a ride from corner to corner to corner around the country.

I always rode "choppers"-extended front tubes,lowered & extended frame,
hardtail,large rear tire & wheel(spoked to a standard rear hub,custom paint,
detailed engine(added horsepower)etc. When you ride all day in an extended
position, you find aches in places that you didn't know that you had.I owned
& operated two differant motorcycle customizing shops so I had a place to build my own! Irish

I've sat on a few of those and didn't find them comfortable. I love going for long rides. The kind where you take a few hours to get where you want to ride then ride all day. The more twisty the road the better. Right now I'm looking at the Honda vtx1800t. Can't get it just yet though. I have other things I want to do first. Until then I'm stuck on my Shadow. However, I now have a car (which I didn't have a working car when I took my trip) so I don't have to worry about hurting knees anymore.
