Isaac Hayes died at his home yesterday in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 65 years old.

The older Pixies may remember him from his music; he won an Oscar for the 1971 theme from Shaft. His recent popularity was as the voice of Chef from the popular cartoon show, South Park.

Watch for movie "Soul Man" comming out later this year. A soul singer played by Bernie Mac,returnes to stage after a 20 year absence. Film also includes Isaac Hayes. Man,Hayes even made "By The Time I Get To Phoenix",sound cool. Rest In Peace Isaac Hayes.

When I was reading through his bio I didn't realizee how prolific he was. I guess I'm in the generation that only remembers him from south park.
