Your grandson (http://edition.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/05/14/freud.record/) has made quite the name for his self.

What do you think about the painting? Is it beauty? Is it so grotesque it has an odd appeal? Is it just a lady taking a nap? Can you imagine being the muse and finding that your image has sold for that kind of $$?

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

A little more than Reubenesque, isn't it? Still, beauty being in the eye of the beholder...or maybe the beerholder...it would take more than a couple of brewskies to get me to lay down $33 mil on any painting, let alone one by an artist who's nowhere near dead yet ;)

I admire the model more than the artist. She is one very brave lady and I hope she'll be rewarded a little more hansomely than £33 a day now that the painting's been sold.

I'm very drawn to the picture, but as with most art, I can't imagine a spot for it in my house. Perhaps a postcard version on the fridge to remind me not to eat too much might be an idea......

I am quite sure those are not synonyms. Not homonyms either. Nor antonyms.

It is an interesting painting of someone he knows, nothing more, nothing less.

I'm quite sure 'perspective' is a noun. ;)

My Concise Oxford Dictionary says that, in English, perspective is a noun and an adjective.

I cannot find my Webster's American Dctionary.

Apparently Mr. Freud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucian_Freud) is not unaccustomed to controversy and/or outrage over his work, which may indicate a strong bloodline back to his famous grandfather. As to whether he is a fraud or not, I don't see any evidence that people have been coerced into spending ridiculous sums on his work...
